Maple Ridge Senior Living has a licensed capacity of 45 residents. Some facilities offer specialized memory care.

Who We Serve: Assisted Living Facilities serve older adults and people with disabilities who need help with daily activities but do not require the 24-hour skilled nursing care provided in nursing homes.

Licensing: Typically licensed by the Oregon Department of Human Services, Office of Licensing and Regulatory Oversight.

Payment Options: In Oregon, Medicaid may help pay for assisted living through the Oregon Project Independence, HCBS Waiver. Eligibility is based on both financial and functional criteria. Contact Oregon Health Authority or visit https://www.oregon.gov/dhs/seniors-disabilities/Pages/index.aspx to learn about eligibility requirements and how to apply. Wait lists are common for waiver programs, so applying early is recommended.

Families researching assisted living options should verify the facility's current license status, review any inspection reports, and schedule a visit to assess whether the environment and services meet their loved one's needs. For more information about assisted living regulations in Oregon, visit Oregon Department of Human Services, Office of Licensing and Regulatory Oversight.

Licensing requirements and regulations may change. We recommend verifying current requirements directly with your state's licensing agency.

Our mom moved into Maple Ridge in 2019. She loves the staff, who make her feel like family. They truly care about the residents and work hard to create an active environment that keeps them engaged in the Ashland community, including trips to concerts, local parades, and more. In addition, they provide regular opportunities for social events and exercise activities. Most importantly, they’ve created a safe and supportive space where she continues to thrive—happily and independently. We’re so grateful to the team for making Maple Ridge a place where our mom feels supported, connected, and at home.

We recently relocated my father from Southern California to independent living at Maple Ridge, and we couldn't be happier with the decision. He absolutely loves his apartment; it's the perfect size, with large windows that offer a beautiful view. The staff and community were incredibly welcoming and helpful from day one. It truly feels like home, and that peace of mind means so much to our family. The team at Maple Ridge really makes the community special. Ashland itself is such a charming town — a perfect place to relocate to. There are plenty of great shops and restaurants nearby, which makes it easy (and fun!) to pick up my dad and treat him to lunch out. He also loves the location and being so close to downtown. There are lots of activities and outings for him to enjoy, and he especially looks forward to the live piano performances. Having three freshly prepared meals a day is another big perk. We’re so grateful to have found such a warm, caring place for our dad, Maple Ridge has truly become home.

My mother has been at Maple Ridge for over a year on the Independent Living floor. Maple Ridge was recommended by a friend. While my mother was at first hesitant to move to a Senior community, she has had an incredibly positive experience. The Administrative Director, Emily, the entire staff, and the community are genuinely caring and attentive. My mom has made friends, and seems happier and healthier than she did when she was living alone.

My mom was not looking forward to moving from her home of 30 years into an assisted living facility. She worried about fitting in with the residents and staff, about not liking her apartment, about being too difficult to care for, etc...but her experience at Maple Ridge was comforting and positive. Once she got moved in at Maple Ridge, she bragged that she had the best room in the facility: a room with a view of the mountains and the nicely manicured grounds, including a pond full of happy frogs. She enjoyed the caregivers and trusted and bantered with her med techs, getting to know each one, asking questions about their lives, sharing hers. She would be upset when one of her “favorites” moved to another floor or time slot, but then got to know a new caregiver or med tech and gained another “favorite”. Everyone was very responsive to her needs, whatever they were at the time. My mom was bedridden for most of her stay, but she was always invited to all the gatherings and party's. During the time when she could walk with a brace and some assistance, the caregivers would come in, help her get dressed and carefully guide her into her wheelchair so she could have lunch in the dining room. In my mom's last months on hospice, she was ill and very confused, and the staff went out of their way to help her feel comfortable and safe. Always checking in and assisting when needed. There were many times in her changing health, that hospice decided to change her meds, change schedules, change her care, and it all happened seamlessly and with grace. It was very important to me that my mom's last years were as positive and happy as possible. I felt that she got prompt, quality care every single day. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you all!

Witnessing Compassion in Action Every Day As someone who has been at Maple Ridge nearly every day for close for last year and a half, I can honestly say this community is something special. I’ve had the opportunity to see behind the scenes — not just the polished tours, but the real, everyday interactions that define a place. What I see here is genuine care, consistent kindness, and a team that treats residents like family. The staff are attentive and patient, always greeting residents with a smile, knowing their preferences, routines, and personalities. It’s not just about meeting needs — it’s about making people feel seen, valued, and respected. Whether it's a nurse offering comfort during a tough moment or the dining team remembering how someone takes their tea, the details matter here — and they never get overlooked. The facility is always clean, welcoming, and filled with life. Residents are engaged in activities they enjoy, from live music and games to quiet moments in the garden. Families feel welcome and involved, and it's clear that leadership listens and genuinely cares about feedback. I’ve seen firsthand the difference this environment makes in the lives of its residents — the spark in their eyes, the friendships they’ve formed, and the trust they have in those who care for them. If you’re looking for a place where people aren’t just living, but truly thriving, I can't recommend Maplr Ridge enough.
