South Grove Lodge Senior Living

I have a family member who just became a resident in August and I have been so pleased with the staff, the food, the prices, and the care they give. We even brought a bunny to the facility for a petting bunny love day. They do so many activities for the residents to keep them active and happy. Even theor safety procedures they practice fire drills and the like. If I end up needing this kind of care, I know this is where I will go. This is our second family member to choose to stay at South Grove Lodge.

Recently had a negative experience at Southgrove Lodge. My 90 year old sister(a vulnerable person)has been a resident there for over 10 years. An employee (Tracey) recently accepted a personal item from her that was to go to her nephew. I contacted him and was to return it to me. But he said tough luck. In the handbook to employees it states that employees are prohibited from accepting personal gifts or money from residents. Our item was a bed. It could of been a ring or something else. With Tracey taking the item it is a conflict of interest and undermines the ethical standards of care. The results of his actions should be an immediate dismissal. Mike Stark

My Mom moved to South Grove Lodge Senior Living in February of this year, and she absolutely loves it there. Mom had given up driving a few years ago and was starting to feel the effects of living alone and being housebound. Having meals with others at SGL has added dimension and happiness to her daily life. In addition she is enjoying many of the scheduled activities and social gatherings such as Mahjong, bingo, ice cream socials, and happy hour at the pub. My mom loves to walk and has found the long climate controlled halls at SGL to be perfect when the weather outside keeps her in. The staff is welcoming and helpful, always ready with a smile and a warm hello. Even though my mom loved her home, she is really happy to be at SGL where she is keeping busy, interacting with others, and feeling safe and secure. Very friendly, helpful staff. There's an atmosphere of everybody getting along. Their meals menu is downright fabulous! An ice cream parlor, c'mon how awesome is that?!

My dad just moved to Primrose. Everyone was so kind and helpful even tho my dad wasn't the nicest person. They were very professional and went the extra mile to make my visit comfortable.
