When we were looking for an adult care home for my mother's last few months, we considered a couple other homes, but ultimately went with Luba, and I am very glad we did. I'm sure that the other places would have been fine, but the care my mother received at Luba's was the very best it could have been, I believe. Luba and her husband were both very professional, knowledgable, responsive, as well as genuinely caring and friendly. It's more than just a business for them. At other 'homes' (and again, I'm sure that these are also very good) they have hired staff who work shifts and so on--but at Luba's, it's just her and Ross. They give the exact same round-the-clock care you would get in another place, but it's actually their home, and so they are the only caregivers, day and night. Having consistency in care, and in caregivers, is very important for the elderly and infirm, indeed, also with those who love them. They were able to get to know my mother, her history, her illness, and they were able to explain various options to me and my father, and were very good about pursuing what was truly best for my mother. We never felt pressured to make any decision we weren't sure about (which is certainly not true in many hospital settings). My mother's condition confined her to her room, but as much as I saw of the rest of the house all communicated the same thing. It was quiet and peaceful, and all the other residents I saw were happy and appeared well-cared for. I give Luba my highest recommendation. I would give her 10 stars if I could!

At the beginning of this year, we had to find a memory care facility for my father in law, with very short notice. Luba accepted him into their home, making us feel secure and worry free. Luba and Ross are warm, friendly, and treat their residents like family. This place is also their home, and it shows. It's quiet and peaceful, and set up well for people with mobility challenges. Visiting our dad was easy and comfortable. Our dad was a person who always said he would NEVER go into any type of facility . After a few weeks there he was calling it home and said he had everything he could ask for. Until you experience going through this with a parent, you cannot realize the heartache and stress you go through. Luba and Ross go out of their way to take the worry off of your shoulders. During our Dad's passing, they guided us through the process and gave us the support we needed. We consider them our family now as well. -- Laura and Mike Thornquist

We are so appreciative of the care Luba and Ross provided my mom. They were so accommodating to our family and we were able to visit often and even take my mom out in the wheelchair. It worked out so well that Luba is a registered nurse and could also call the doctors when needed. She could also coordinate doctor appointments. My mom was there until the end and hospice care was there too. We would place another loved one here if needed.
