Canfield Place Retirement Community

Years ago I had a friend that lived at Canfield Place and I always felt comfortable when I came to visit her. She liked it also. So when it came time to consider places for my mom to live the top of my list was Canfield Place. I was happy that things worked out that we could get a place for her here. From the very start they were easy to work with and took good care of my mom. The staff became like family. From Nancy the dining room manager to Whitney (one of our favorite medaids) everyone was not only kind and caring to my mother but to my whole family. The activities at Canfield are varied and top notch. Destiny does a great job and provides something for everyone. My mom wasn't much for the activities especially in her later time at the facility but she did love the musicians they brought in and the holiday brunches for the entire family. My mothers care was well coordinated and I was always kept informed of any changes to her health or well being that they noticed. Towards the end of my mothers life (and time at Canfield) we were concerned that she needed more care than Canfield was set up to provide. Sabrina was wonderful to help us arrange for Hospice and wanted to keep my mother at Canfield if at all possible. When I thought they might "boot us out" Sabrina expressed that; "this is your mom's home" and that they would help us figure out how to make it possible to keep her "in her home". I am hopefully many many years away from needing this kind of care but sometime in the future.....my husband and I would definitely consider Canfield Place as a place to call "home".

My 96 yr old Mom has been thriving since moving into Canfield last summer! Our entire family loves visiting her in her personalized apartment with her favorite items from home. The staff here are always so friendly, supportive and professional. The meals are varied, nutritious and taste great due to a chef that creates specials every day. My Mom has a lot of fun making new friends and enjoying so many activities. She plays bingo, painting class, flower arrangements, exercise classes, and even made a tie dye shirt. Also there are many music concerts during the month. And each holiday is celebrated and interactive. Most of all, my sister and I are relieved that Mom is safe and cared for here. The nursing staff and others keep eyes on her and interact everyday. Canfield is a wonderful option for elders who can’t stay home safely. We are so happy that a family friend told us about this home away from home🥰

We’ve been grateful with how well the staff at Canfield treats my husband’s sister. They are attentive and you can feel the positive energy when you walk in. We looked for months at various locations and we knew very quickly this was the place for our 93 year old woman, busting with energy and opinions, to move into. It’s been great to see her get involved again, even the exercise classes! We are very happy Canfield is here for her!

After an extensive search for the right senior retirement home for my mother, I'm so relieved to have found Canfield Place in Beaverton. This facility exceeded my expectations in almost every way. The staff here are exceptionally caring and go out of their way to be helpful. They clearly enjoy working with seniors, treating residents with the utmost respect. In just the short time my mother has lived here, I've seen the kind impact this dedication has made. Canfield Place is also a vibrant community! They offer a huge range of activities to keep residents engaged, and the residents themselves are active and involved. Importantly, the food is delicious, and the entire facility is impeccably maintained. Above all, Canfield Place has given me peace of mind. Knowing my mother is safe, happy, and receiving top-notch care around the clock is invaluable. If an emergency arises, I know there's a skilled team ready to assist. I would highly recommend Canfield Place to anyone looking for an excellent senior living community.

My husband and I moved into Canfield Place in June of last year. He passed away in September after receiving very good care here. I am completely independent and a retired nurse but I still need some assistance with good food, housekeeping and laundry which I get here at Canfield Place. They keep us well entertained and busy and if we have questions they deal with those very well. We get exercise programs and emergency care if needed. I could not ask for a more comfortable or better place to live at this time of my life. The staff including the care team dining room servers and all the staff take care of whatever our needs are. I am glad this is my home, I thank God every night for being at Canfield Place.
