Paramount Senior Living at Bethel Park

Decent building but th rest is not good. My family member has been there for around six months. Particularly in the last few months, there have been issues that we have had to address with management. This was futile. It has reached the point of blatant neglect. Also, they keep adding unexplained charges to her bill. When asking about this, we are stonewalled. We are now at the point of looking at other places. We thought at this price point she would have the very best care. Please reconsider if you are looking at this place.

Where to begin.... I recently toured this place (roughly 2 weeks ago) to see about placement for my parent. First of all, I walked into the building and it was like walking into the worst part of town...Resident Helpers in slippers, talking on the phone.....with the speaker on mind you (!) shuffling along the hallways, sitting on couches in the common rooms, playing games on their phone. Also, areas of the building did NOT smell very well and the carpets were dingy in certain areas. Meeting the executive director was not a pleasant experience either. Marybeth (?) was disinterested and somewhat condescending in her approach....you could just tell she was not being sincere...and she did not speak well to her staff ( i overheard her before i even met her, which left a bad taste in my mouth from the start). We toured the building, including the dining room and were shown a menu for the week...needless to say the menu did not seem appetizing or very appealing, especially with the amount of money they want even for a person with the majority of their faculties. My parent doesn't want chicken fingers or a McRib sandwich for their dinner. In fact, most of the food seemed like it would be bought and not made from scratch. I would liken the whole experience to walking though the freezer section at Walmart at noon on a Saturday in a bad part of town. Unsavory characters, processed food, and riffraff...not at all a place for aging parents, especially in Bethel Park. I imagine that they don't pay their staff well, judging by the quality of workers from the top of the chain to the bottom of that building. I felt uncomfortable from the beginning, but was trying to give the place a chance. I won't do that again

My mother was a resident at Paramount Bethel Park for 3 months in 2025 for wound care and the nursing staff and hospice staff took great care of her during her stay. Mike, Enisa, Tracy + Bryan were fabulous to work with and attend to Mom. I highly recommend Paramount Bethel Park to anyone with a family member in need of senior care. We decided to tour several retirement communities recently. Mike and the rest of the staff at Paramount (Bethel Park) were very knowledgeable, kind, and the community was clean and had all of the amenities that we were looking for. Though she is not ready for a move yet, we will consider it in the future for her needs.

My sister lived there for over two years and they took very good care of her. The regular staff was very good at keeping me updated. The hospice staff was exceptional. The building was always very clean and didn't have the "smell" like other geriatric facilities.
