After an exhausting search for the perfect assisted living facility for my mom in Florida, I am beyond grateful to have found Brookdale West Boynton Beach. From the very first conversation with Tracy, I knew this was the place for my mom. Tracy listened with genuine empathy, understood my unique situation, and guided me through every step of the process with patience and expertise. Her professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail made all the difference during what could have been an overwhelming experience. I toured five other facilities, but none compared to Brookdale. The moment I walked in, I felt a sense of warmth and community that was absent elsewhere. Two days ago, my mom moved in, and the transition has been nothing short of amazing. From the staff to the residents, everyone has made her feel welcomed, valued, and at home. She’s already so happy—and as her daughter, that’s all I could ever ask for especially since I do not live in Florida. A special shout-out to Helen and Rosita, who worked tirelessly to make this happen in such a short time. Your dedication, responsiveness, and kindness were nothing short of heroic—you’ve been absolute lifesavers during this emotional journey. The care and support we’ve received have been exceptional. It’s clear that Brookdale doesn’t just provide a place to live; they create a loving, supportive environment where residents thrive. I have complete confidence that they’ll be there for my mom in every way during this chapter of her life. From the first moment we walked into this place, the reception was so warm and professional that I was very impressed. My husband who is very hard to please that I really like this place because of all the people who spoke to him and especially the personnel who paid a lot of attention to him. These people have a dynamic that is healthy, honest and transparent ask them anything they will answer.

The nurses in the nurses office and the staff there have offered excellent attention and care for my step mother! They have gone the extra mile for her; I am very grateful for their knowledge and close attention to her health issues. She is in good shape thanks to them. Her overall health has improved.

Stay away — this facility has many people that care but quite a few that have attitudes— the bigger issue is they are completely understaffed for the size of the facility and it’s like a ghost town on the weekends. Very little care staff, no activities because back to the staffing issue they have only one activities director (Monday - Friday) so they feel it’s acceptable to have nothing going on all weekend. I tried to very objectively like the facility but the bottom line is you can’t get the care you need with the staff levels they have. I routinely receive calls late morning on the weekends that no one has been to assist yet and it’s near lunch time. The aids are regularly apologizing and explaining they are short staffed — sometimes as few as 2 for the facility —particularly in the evenings — it simply doesn’t work. I think there are better run facilities and I would suggest you invest the time to compare.

Daniella Josma did an amazing job of helping my mom get assessed, accepted and moved into the memory care unit at Brookdale. I have 5 children and 4 little ones in virtual school. I had one week's time to find a place for my mom while getting adjusted to virtual school. I'm very grateful for Brookdale. When I see my mom she is well groomed and cared for. Excellent job!
