Azalea Gardens Senior Living

Azalea Gardens has a fun, energetic, and family atmosphere. Their staff is attentive and accommodating and generally cares about the people that reside there. They always have fresh coffee, water, and tea, accompanied by a 2 tear basket of a variety. Such as fresh fruits, chips, crackers, cereal bars, and freshly backed cookies at times, made by the residents and their amazing activities director.

My mom is a new memory care resident. Sarah helped us navigate the incoming process and is very professional and efficient. I like the smaller environment and I think my mom will be well cared for! Thank you!

This place is truly amazing The kindness felt throughout the facility every time I visit Dad it is like a family here I have looked at many facilities for my Dad and definitely happy I made the choice of this place to call home - special lady Sarah Dodson who held my hand through it all She truly cares about the residents

Do not recommend resident care is never met memory care is neglected never two care partners in there which is the law. Lots of resident care not met due to poor staff attitudes and there lead med tech who is very unprofessional. Samantha Knowlton has favorites that definitely makes a hastile environment. Memory Care residents don't get hot food, snack or drinks like assisted living does they are treated worse then jail inmates. Absolutely disgusting

A dear friend that lives alone was getting to the point in life where it became a chore just to check his mail. Couldn't drive anymore because of vision loss. He and his Son researched many Assisted Living facilities in the area and finally landed here at Azalea Gardens. When COVID finally hit Brookings my friend was already settled in. Good Thing! No outside visitors allowed in, only highly trained staff are allowed inside. This likely why Azalea Gardens hasn't had a single C19 case. My friend provides myself and his Son weekly updates via phone and email. Seems to be happy there and enjoys lunch in the common area.
