Aegis Assisted Living of Carmichael

I recently moved my 94 year old mom to this facility. The moving process was smooth, the staff were available and helpful. She has consistent caregivers who are kind and capable. The activities are varied and the staff try to get her out and involved. Her room and the rest of the facility are kept very clean. The nursing staff has been immediately available and on top of any medical/medication changes. A physician will come to Aegis to care for her and there are a podiatrist and hair stylist/manicurist who come as well. I recommend this facility without reservation.

This is a cockroach infested Senior Facility. Some residents complain about certain care managers ( caregivers ) not providing adequate care, team leads are informed, then the new GM is informed and nothing is done about it. The new GM seems incompetent compared to the last one if he truly believes running a senior facility is like running a cheap motel. Definitely not worth the price of admission, especially when there are at least 5 other senior facilities in the immediate area.

Worst place ever! Management is horrible. Everyone is unprofessional. some employees are rude and doesn't take care of their residents properly. They do not respect resident's diginity, also they would just sprayed water on their residents when giving them showers, it happens alot for the residents in memory care. The utensils for the memory care residents are unsterilized and still has stains and left over food on them. Do not recommend this specific facility to bring your families plus do not work there! This place has bugs and ants all over, even in the kicthen, the rooms, and they do nothing about it.

My mom has lived here for 3 years ,she is so happy there, has met new friends, loves the food and the courtyard in the back!!

My mom went from being able to live on her own to needing memory care in a very short period of time. We would have been lost had it not been for Aegis. Beautiful facility with caring staff. Your family member will be part of a vibrant, active community with activities both in the facility and out in the community. I cant think of a place I would rather have my mom. I can only hope to be in as nice a situation when its my turn to need assisted living.
