American House Shallowford

Beautiful community all laid out on one level with a nice indoor courtyard with a few raised flower beds that some of the residents love using for gardening and sitting out when the weather is nice. Most of the rooms seem renovated with what looks like hardwood type of flooring. The caregiver and nursing staff are polite and helpful plus upper management is usually ready to help out wherever needed. They have an excellent Activities calendar with the Activities director who has been there for almost a decade. Two visiting physicians come every week making it very easy for residents to access a primary care physician and get their medication’s/prescription refilled in a timely manner and I think there’s also Podiatry that comes every so often. There’s also in house part B outpatient therapy providers, and home health agencies that help with the overall care and well-being. Special shout out to Chris the Memory Care coordinator. Takes very good care of her residents and keeps them engaged throughout the day. I think it’s one of the best Memory Care units in the area. Last thing: they have a third shift nurse on staff. This is not very common in the assisted-living facilities in the area

I love the food options, especially the chicken and dressing! I enjoy putting together puzzles and attending the outings that are offered. We went to Carraba’s! The staff have been really good to me and help me whenever I need them.

The American Home is open. Bright. Clean. Staff is friendly..helpful..caring Many activities to get involved in Church and Bible studies for those who wish to join in Bus trips to visit places around town As I am not from this area it is all Interesting It is a happy place to live If you are happy so is everyone else

Elmcroft of Shallowford is an amazing place. Right off the bat when my mother in law walked in she knew it was the place for her. She didn’t want to visit any other facilities. This was the place she chose, and we are so thankful she did. The staff the all the way from the administrative to the maintenance personnel have been amazing. She wants for nothing. Her care is above and beyond expectations from any assisted living. They are all caring and compassionate not only about her feelings and care, but the families cares and concerns also. They all go out of their way to accommodate her and us. If your loved one is in need or looking for and assisted living home, I highly recommend Elmcroft At Shallowford on Lee Highway. You will find you become a part of a family setting the moment you walk in. We are so thankful we found this special place for our loved one, it has been and is a true blessing for us and our mom.

Elmcroft of Shallowford is not just an Assisted Living and Memory Care Community, They become your family. I am always greeted with a warm, friendly smile and often a hug. I received four very welcome hugs today alone by various staff while there. And while patient care is their first priority, There is always time to honor one of Their Veterans or have a Holiday sing along. There culinary/dietary staff makes sure that all of the residents are well-nourished and the food is pleasing to their pallets! Family nights at Elmcroft are so much fun!
