Ryan's Way is an Adult Residential Facility for the Developmentally Disabled. There are 3 homes in our organization located in Chula Vista. Our belief is that it takes very special people to care for our clients. We are seeking kind, caring, self-motivating, responsible individuals to be a Direct Care Staff member. Our expectation is for staff to act as advocates for our clients while assisting them to live a full, active, healthy lifestyle. Duties include but are not limited to: Assisting with bathing, dressing, transfers, assisting with medications, light housekeeping chores, accompanying on outings and to doctor's appointments, etc. Minimum qualifications: 1. Must be at least 18 years of age. 2. Good physical health, ability to transfer residents and ability to bend, kneel and squat as per job requirements. 3. Free from contagious diseases. Must have had a physical and TB test completed within the past year. 4. Ability to positively reinforce clients, peers and family members. 5. Must have successfully completed a C.N.A. certification class (or equivalent in related field) or be currently enrolled in a Certified Nursing Assistant program and able to successfully complete certification program with 6 months of hire. 6. Must have current CPR card and First Aid card. 7. Ability to communicate clearly in English both orally and in writing and a good communicator. 8. Must have the ability to work as a team member assisting and making sure everything gets done each day or on schedule. 9. Valid CA drivers license preferred with clear DMV record. 10.
