The Grove is a hidden gem in Columbus Ohio. May I begin by saying this place cares about each and everyone that lives here. I can only speak from personal experience. Beginning with the Director Ms.Kim, A lady that says what she means and not saying onething and doing another. She's 100%, then you have the Assist Director Ms. Tammie who's purely a woman that demonstrates pure excellence. This lady cares for these residences as if they're her very own with her heart and a smile that all around her feels. She loves each and everyone of her residences and they adores her, the Nurses I just can't say enough about them. They're great and they have no problem keeping you informed last but not least the staff, including the housekeepers. They works together and these people takes phenomenal care of your love ones here. If you're looking for a place that cares and you don't have to worry about your love one. This is it. You will never ever walk in this place and find your love one not being properly cared for. These folks care and it shows. If I could give them 100 stars I would. I can never ever thank them enough. It's ran with love and love is shown and given. I can guarantee you that there isn't another place that can touch this place in Columbus Ohio or the surrounding area. To the Director Ms. Kim you have yourself a heck of a staff at the Grove and an outstanding assistant Ms. Tammie. I can't leave the Oakleaf out because they're given the same focus from what I have witness. If a place needs to be rewarded and recognized especially Ms. Tammie Dillion and her staff. I pray that it does. They deserves it. George was well taken care of and down to the end, the Grove was right there front and center. So I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything thing. I wish others could witness the meaning of leading by examples because all of you are the PURE EXAMPLE OF THE MEANING OF CARING AND LOVE. ALL OF YOU CONTINUE TO BE BLESS, ALWAYS.

This is not a memory care facility I would place a loved one. PLEASE SEARCH ELSEWHERE!!! The staff do not ensure residence remain mobile, even if they have the capability to walk with a walker. The staff could do a 2 person assist to help the residents on a walker and walk along side of them for excerise and build strength. But No, they rather have them in broda chairs and wheel them from the comman area, to the dinning room table and back to their rooms. There are no activities for the residence in the cherrywood section of the facility. Its always listed on activity board of the games, hand massage, ball toss, music etc..but you don't witness staff engaging in any of those activities with the residence. There are times listed for the activities, but no engagement at all for the duration of the day. There's no true interaction of stimulation for these residence. Youll see a few staff members who seem to care and show affection towards the residence, but there are others who looks at this as just a job to get paid. I was hoping this place would give my love one the opportunity to engage with other residence, interact in activities and while aging. But it was the opposite, this is a place where residence will decline and lose of their independence. It was evident with not only my love one, but other residence too. As a result, I removed my love one to a better location where true love & care was provided.

My hospice team has partnered with the Grove & Oakleaf Village over the past several months. We love the team at these facilities. They lead from the heart. I would wholeheartedly recommend any family or friend to live here!

My husband who has dementia and had a stroke last fall spent ten days at The Grove. Our experience was excellent. Residents stay in small home-like groupings called pods with one corridor of bedrooms, a lovely big living room with television and other activities, a lunch counter, and family-style dining room table. the food was good! When I visited for a look/see, I thought, "I'd like to live here!" When he arrived the first day and was escorted to his "pod," the staff there greeted him warmly, held hands with him, walked with him a little, hugged him. He smiled for the first time in a long time. He had a cozy little bedroom, a private bathroom & shower, and we all loved the framed photographs on the wall leading to his room. I was worried about placing him in respite care, which I needed badly to visit my grandson and just rest. But I wasted a lot of spirit worrying, because he was fine, more than fine, was cared for very well, made a good adjustment (big surprise and relief to me!), and was happy to be there. Hats off to The Grove, to Kim, Tammie, Susan, Paulina, and all the others for compassionate excellent work!

Last week I moved my aunt into a new area of The Grove at Oakley. They focus on dementia care. So far we have had an excellent experience. The staff have been very kind and attentive. I have been very impressed with everyone I have met.
