Danbury Woods

My 96-year-old mother has been at Danbury Woods for about 8 months now. I truly appreciate the consistency of the staff, and the gentle care that Mom receives from them. The nurses are helpful, and willing to discuss any issues. And, most importantly, the staff is always available, and actively caring for each patient - NOT just sitting in an office somewhere as I have seen in other facilities. Morgan, the current administrator there, is the reason that I made the choice to have Mom at Danbury full time. She has been so loving, and attentive to our every need. Even the grandkids really love coming to see grandma at Danbury. We have frequent tea parties there! What a blessing to have Danbury Woods as a part of my family!

To aid in the recovery of a broken bone, my mom transitioned from a skilled nursing home to Danbury Woods Senior Living in Cuyahoga Falls. The purpose of her stay was for Respite Care and her time at Danbury was 6 weeks. Overall, my mom's experience during her stay was positive and as a family member of a resident at Danbury, my experience was also positive. The staff was friendly, helpful and quick to respond with answers to any questions that came up. The highlight of my mom's stay was the activities that were offered for all the residents. She was able to connect with others during happy hours, play games, exercise and get to know staff members through these events. She also enjoyed the food and appreciated the variety and flexibility in the menu options. Important to mention is that the staff truly cares about the residents and went out of their way to get to know them and their family members who visited. I asked my mom if she would consider going back to Danbury if the need would ever arise and she, without hesitation, said 'Yes!'

Great facility! We wish there were more/better activities for the residents to do during the day. Otherwise, the staff are great.
