I am so happy I chose Sunrise Danville for my 95 year old mom. My mom is doing so well in a very comfortable environment surrounded by experienced and caring caregivers. As a daughter I feel so comfortable visiting and am always kept up on any new developments related to my mom. There are always fun events going on such as singing and musicians visiting and playing instruments . My mom has made so many new friends. I would highly recommend Sunrise Daville!!
When your loved one is healthy and fine, this is a fine place to be. The grounds are nice, they run activities, and our dad really liked the food. The caregivers who attended to him were caring and attentive; it cannot be an easy job and they do it with grace and care. But the administration was difficult to communicate with as our father's health declined, especially after there was a shift in leadership a few months ago. It felt like we had to constantly reach out to them and ask them to follow up and be in touch. At the end, we primarily relied on hospice, not Sunrise, to coordinate communication and offer compassionate advice. I also want to mention that the saleswoman who sold us on Sunrise gave us incorrect information about we would be reimbursed from long-term care. She had "calculated" right in front of us, with pen and paper, that there would be no out of pocket cost for being at Sunrise. But she was wrong. LTC insurance only covers the nursing services. If we had not sold our parents' house in time, we would not have been able to pay for him to stay at Sunrise for as long as we did. Be aware and always check with your own LTC provider.
A family member of ours has been at Sunrise of Danville for just over a year, and we couldn’t be happier with our choice. From the management to the caregivers, we have nothing but positive things to say. The caregivers are incredibly caring, loving, and attentive—truly the best we’ve ever met. The medication staff is wonderful and extremely knowledgeable, often knowing more than the on-duty nurses. The billing administrator is always friendly and cheerful, and she goes out of her way to help us with any billing questions, ensuring everything gets sorted quickly. The Executive Director is always up to date with community happenings and is just as friendly. Every time we visit, we leave with a smile, knowing our loved ones are in great hands.

The facility itself is always spotless, well-maintained, and has a truly warm, home-like atmosphere. The daily abundance of engaging activities and the nutritious, thoughtfully prepared meals ensure that residents remain active and socially connected. What truly sets Sunrise of Danville apart is the quality of individual attention. The management team, including Abby and Ann, and the provider team, Martha and Lucia, all take the time to learn each resident's unique preferences, routines, and needs. Their consistent and transparent communication with me provides immense peace of mind.
