Great place 👌 Warm family environment. I'm truly grateful for all the care and support Brookdale gives to my father and his family members in this journey

This is kind of an off review as my Dad did not get to stay here because of the decline he had at the hospital. I contacted them at my wits end with trying to get help for my Dad. Lindsey came in on a Sunday, her day off, to meet with me and do a tour. She was very sweet and understanding of our situation. I found the place to be beautiful and well maintained. They even have a dining area that is set for the residents at meals. She steered me towards financial help with the VA that I did not know about. I went in on Monday after getting some bad news and met with Carrie who is the Director there. I literally had a breakdown in her office about everything going on. She sat and talked with me and told me she knew how stressful this is and not to feel bad. She said, “We are here to help”. They both guided me on things that needed to be done and intervened to help when possible. I knew my Dad would get great care here and I could take a breath for the first time in a while. Due to the decline of his health, he had to be placed on hospice, in a hospice care center, when I called to let Lindsey know and apologize for all their efforts, she said that I had nothing to apologize for and she was so sorry that this was happening. She said if you need help with anything or just want to vent to give her a call. I wanted to do this review because for the last 7 months we have been through hell and they were the first people/place to actually walk us through and help us. They have a heart and true compassion which is lacking, in not only the medical field but in this world today. I hope if you read this review you will appreciate the compassion these women have displayed and know that your loved one would be taken care of. They truly went above and beyond for us and I am very thankful.

My mom moved in a month ago to the assisted living section. She has been happy with making new friends, getting to know the staff and participating in their numerous activities. It’s so nice to see my mom smiling and being well taken care of. I so appreciate the support and care of my mom by the staff!

Brookdale DeLand is a great place for your loved ones. It is a caring, clean & safe environment. I've been blessed to have both parents there. For me, it checked all the boxes for safety, care & friendships just to name a few.

I truly believe Brookdale Senior Living is a well run assisted living and memory care facility. I am very happy that my sister Donna is in your care. Thank you for all that you do to make life as comfortable and as good as it can be for Donna, and it’s not easy to make her happy!
