Simpson Meadows

I toured with Tim yesterday, and the community was absolutely beautiful and felt so homey. The memory care neighborhood truly stood out to me — the residents looked awake, vibrant, and full of energy, and everyone was well-groomed and cared for. It was heartwarming to see the staff so engaged and present with each resident.

Patients on 1st floor memory care are neglected I have submitted a state complaint. Patients lay in bed for 16-20hrs a day. Beds soaked in urine. Feces on patients.

Great facility, friendly staff. Took great care of my love ones. Top notch maintenance staff at the downingtown location. Would highly recommend

While visiting my grandmother and her friends apartment I couldn’t help but notice the overwhelming stench that was present, lo and behold this is what I walked into. Disgusting.

For those of you considering Simpson Meadows as an independent living facility you need to be aware that while they do have independent living they consider themselves a nursing home. What that means is that now during covid-19 they are in total lockdown. people in independent living may come and go as they wish. Inside the facility is being managed as a nursing home and is following the guidelines for nursing homes. Which means no one may enter the building other than residents or employees. They will facilitate a monitored visit between residents and visitors while practicing social distancing. Which sounds good but does not make sense since the residents can walk out the door go to cracker barrel with friends and family then return to the facility with only a temp scan. Just remember you will be living in a facility that is governed by nursing home rules and not an independent living facility rules.
