Ihighly recommend Sunrise of Dresher. My mother lived there for 2 years and 3 months. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The facilities were clean. The residents looked happy and well cared for. The food was good. There were many activities available daily. At the end, my 97yo mom needed hospice care which the Sunrise staff coordinated with. The staff was so kind, especially at the end. The one time I had a real problem with a staff member, she was let go within the week. They do not tolerate disrespect from the care givers.
Sunrise of Dresher and the Sales and Management team should be ashamed of themselves. My father was a resident at Sunrise of Dresher. My father was sent out to the hospital during his stay. He was at the hospital for 3 weeks. I understand that his room needs to be paid for , but they also charged me for his high level of care WHILE HE WAS NOT EVEN THERE! This is robbery. I shouldn't have to pay your staff for doing nothing. Also Sandy and the sales team were un willing to negotiate the bill and take off the charges for care after Dana said she would. Not to mention the constant neglect from the staff and aids that would be sitting on their phones EVERY TIME I'd arrive instead of assisting residents. This place is only about the $.trust me. 2/27/25: Still have not heard from the sunrise team to deal with this issue. Quick to respond to these reviews to save face. But zero action at all. Sunrise doesn't care about your family members. Sales will tell You want you want to hear, take your $ and that's it. All about the $. Food I wouldn't feed to my dog, neglectful aids, and non responsive management. Choose somewhere else. Trust me.
The employees involved with hosting and eventually caring for my mother were exemplary. Specifically, Marilyn and Brandie, and eventually Alysha and Julie. I do not know how you recognize staff, but Marilyn and Brandie deserve recognition as model employees. In the short few weeks my mother was in independent living these two women were friendly, welcoming, kind and attentive. When my mother was returned to the facility on hospice and totally incapacitated, these two ladies interacted with her seamlessly in the same friendly manner. I do not know how they vet applicants for employment but it worked wonderfully for these women. I do not know how they reward or recognize individuals that are prefect stewards of the brand, but these two women deserve that recognition. I don't have experience with many individuals with similar roles throughout the facility but these women need to be recognized and retained. They work the second floor including Room 204. If your loved one need care, seek their areas of responsibility.
Sunrise Dresher has still not responded to my previous complaints regarding my father's stay. They charged me for care while my father was in the hospital $2800 for 10 days when my father wasn't even in the building. Shame on the sales team. Dana is a liar and was willing to renegotiate the bill. Now nothing . Sandy was rude and would not consider modifying bill. Crooked company and I don't even want to mention the neglect from staff.
It was clear my father could not live alone and needed more assistance than I or my family could provide. Our search of possibilities took us to Sunrise of Dresher and from the moment I walked in, it felt good. Olivia spent time with me and when I brought my father over for a visit her attention turned to him, his needs and what would make him feel comfortable with such a decision. After multiple visits, we officially made the move in July and haven’t regretted anything. The community of residents is small enough that it was not overwhelming for him and he adjusted much quicker than we had expected. They did a great job introducing him to others, ensuring he knows of activities that may interest him but most importantly just talking to him (and his cat) and provide him any help he needs. Everyone that works there flashes a smile on their face and they know my dad by name, deal with his oddities but make him feel proud when he has visitors. The front desk, the care workers, maintenance, dining, chef… just everyone has been great. I know he is safe which is my number one concern. All assisted living places are expensive so can’t fault Sunrise for that (though we did get an increase for 2023) but the no initiation fee compared to others is a big plus. Thank you Sunrise of Dresher!
