Mansfield Place

We really hit the jackpot with Mansfield Place when we moved my Mom & Dad in from out of state. The facility is clean and well maintained and the food is excellent, but the best thing about Mansfield Place are the people - both the staff and the residents. Everyone is so friendly, kind and welcoming. The staff are excellent and always very attentive to the needs of the residents. I feel blessed to have my parents in a facility where I know they are so well cared for. Transition is never easy, especially as we get older, but the staff at Mansfield Place made the process very easy. If you are thinking about Assisted Living, look no further than Mansfield Place. Very highly recommended!

I cannot speak more highly of Mansfield Place! Our Aunt Shirley moved there when we all felt it was time for her to receive more support as she progressed through her golden years. We visited other assisted living apartments and Mansfield Place felt like a home for us all. Laurie was wonderful, giving us a full tour of the facilities, answering any and all questions. The meals were scrumptious and the building and individual apartments were so clean. As time moved on, Shirley was hospitalized with a severe illness and then insisted on receiving hospice care at her ‘home’ at Mansfield Place. We were so thankful for the care, support and love she received during her entire time there.

I cannot say enough good things about ALL the people at Mansfield Place. I was dreading moving my parents into an assisted living facility and MP has exceeded my expectations in just about every single way possible. Walking in one day, I passed a staff member out in the parking lot talking to a resident after her son had just dropped her off : "No, Carol you don't drive anymore. Remember? That used to be your car, but now your son drives it and he drives you anywhere you want to go. C'mon inside and let's see what's happening in the dining room." Kindhearted, patient, respectful, everything you want. All the staff know all the residents and all their little quirks. When my father passed, the entire staff reached out to my mom and took care of her and also checked in to see how I was doing. They allowed me to stay in my parents' apartment for several nights after my dad passed to help her adjust. If someone told me I absolutely HAD to tell MP what to improve, I'd say it would be great if I could reach the nurses more easily. However, the reason they can't always pick up the phone is because they're taking care of people. That's the work they do: being responsive to residents' needs. And they do it well. Bottom line: All I wanted in an assisted facility where people were kind, and patient, and loving with my parents and we got that in spades. If you're reading this review because you're looking for an assisted living facility for your parents or yourself, stop looking; you found the right place.

My father moved into Mansfield Place a year ago. We sincerely appreciate Laurie for her guidance in making this transition for my father as seamless and efficient as possible. My father is enjoying the delicious meals, exercise classes and regular music guests. Thank you to all of Mansfields compassionate and hardworking staff!

Mom moved to assisted living at Mansfield Place in 2018. Laurie was fantastic in helping us through the transition. The pandemic was tough, however, Mom received great care and was kept safe during that time. During the last 6 months, Mom’s health declined and she passed away in November at age 95. The care she received in those last months was extraordinary. The staff were attentive, sensitive to Mom’s desire to remain independent and vigilant to watch her and step in when needed. We are very grateful for the loving care she received.
