Brookdale Florence

My friend lived happily at Brookdale Florence. It is a very homey and comfortable environment. He was reluctant to go into assisted living, but really needed the care. While there he made great friends and was very happy. He would walk around the path of the attached scenic park. He always said he enjoyed the food. He participated in the activities and events. He adjusted quickly and was pleasantly surprised by how happy he was living in a facility. Thumbs up to all who cared for him and made him feel at home.

After visiting several other senior/assisted living facilities in the area, my mother and I knew instantly when we saw Brookdale Florence that this was the place for her. It was very homelike, not institutional at all. Moreover, it was smaller than other homes we looked at, giving it a homey feel and the sense that one could feel personally involved here. The staff are very friendly and efficient at the same time. Everybody looks out for everybody else, whether it be residents or visitors. They involved my mother right away in activities she might like, or she was encouraged just to get out and sit on the patio in the fresh air. They tailored her menu to things she liked. She especially enjoyed the days that puppies visited. When my mother needed it, Brookdale was able to refer us to excellent aides to help her further in her days. Patience, compassion, and excellent care are what she received. Highly recommended.

My Mother-in-law was very reluctant to enter an assisted living facility, even though her limited mobility left her homebound and missing social interaction which had been such a big part of her life before she developed health issues. Since she has moved into Brookdale Florence she has blossomed into a much happier person, interacting with other adults in a way which she finds very rewarding.

The Brookdale team is so wonderful! They could not have been more kind, helpful, and accommodating to us and my mom. They made her transition/move in day very easy. My mom is very happy. Highly recommend this facility
