I had the pleasure of touring Silverado Memory Care in Frederick, and I was truly impressed by the compassion and dedication of their entire team. From the moment I walked in, I could feel the warmth and sense of community that surrounds the residents. The environment is beautiful, uplifting, and designed with the well-being of every individual in mind. If you are lookig for a place for your loved one, please, please check out Silverado.. The entire community is memory care so your loved one is not locked in a separate area.. He or she will have access to the entire facility and will be able to enjoy all of the engagenemt and entertinment options. The staff at Silverado is top notch. My sister and I visit our father almost daily at all hours of the day. We are impressed with the love and support our dad receives. This is his home and he loves it. Silverado offers access to the public for many events. I would encourage visiting, taking a tour, participating in an activity and getting to know the staff. Many of the families have bounced around to other memory care places and all that I have spoken to say this one is the best.

Silverado Frederick Memory Care is a beautiful, exceptionally clean facility where the staff truly treat every resident-and their families-like their own. It's not your typical Memory Care community. Every team member knows each resident by name, and the level of personal attention is remarkable. The environment is warm and welcoming, meals are prepared by a skilled chef, and the scones are without a doubt the best in Frederick. They also go above and beyond to honor veterans and first responders, creating a sense of pride and community. Truly, this is the best of the best.

My father has advanced dementia and declined markedly after a bout with COVID. He has been in two other memory care facilities locally. He is thriving and happy in Silverado. The entire organization is focused on resident care. Senior management is present at all times, even weekends and holidays. We have monthly family dinners so we can meet and talk with staff and get their perspective on things. It is a large, well lit facility but still feels cozy. There is a resident dog who is awesome. My father has a habit of bending over to pick things off the ground. Sometimes he would fall or struggle to get back up. They bought him a stick vacuum. He loves being helpful and useful, I'm glad I am not meeting him in the emergency room anymore. All three facilities my Dad has been in had caring staff, but at Silverado you see the institutional support, training, and professionalism shine through. The other families I meet feel the same way. This is the best local care you can give your parent or loved one with dementia or Alzheimer's.

My mom was at another facility, but they were so upset by her falling, that they basically pushed us out unless we hired a one-on-one aide over and above the $10,000 a month we were paying. When I talked to the folks at Silverado, they were immediately focused on solutions, not how much of a problem her falling was. The staff at Silverado are top notch, and always treat my mom with dignity and care. The philosophy there is unique, stressing the feelings of the residents as adults who have lived long and storied lives. Also unique to Silverado is their holistic approach; there are educational and emotional support meetings, and they have "family dinner" for the families of the residents to connect and share. You really feel part of a community there. I only wish we had started my mom there earlier. I highly recommend Silverado to anyone in need of memory care.
