Cadence at Garner

My sisters and I are extremely grateful for the years that our mother spent at Cadence of Garner. I chose the community for her because it is so close to my home, but so many good things happened for her there that the original reason now seems very insignificant. The community is beautiful outside and inside. The comfort, safety, and physical and emotional well being of the residents is assured by the very professional but also very kind and considerate staff. The activities are varied and fun, the facility is immaculately maintained, and the food is good. The best part is the family atmosphere. That is priceless. Our family is eternally grateful for the care and assistance our mother received.

Five years ago, during the height of the pandemic, I had to quickly find a place for Mom. She had suffered a stroke and bad fall breaking both of her arms at her home in SC but I had her transferred to Cary Health and Rehab to convalesce. After several weeks, their team determined that she required assisted living as she was diagnosed with dementia. After SEVERAL virtual tours (in person wasn’t permitted), we came across Cadence of Garner. It checked all the boxes-close to home, incredibly clean and reasonably priced (they’re all $$$). We couldn’t see her room the first seven months and had to visit through her window or with an appointment in the lobby, but we made the most of it. Once the lockdown was lifted, Mom thoroughly enjoyed the next 1&1/2 years of her life and absolutely LOVED the activities, especially the music and pet therapy. It’s always incredibly difficult to put a loved one in a facility, but rest assured Cadence is ridiculously clean, the food is delicious (she’d tell me every day) and most importantly, it’s secure.

Cadence Garner is truly a gem in senior living. From the moment you walk through the doors, you're greeted with warmth, professionalism, and genuine care. The facility is beautifully maintained, filled with natural light, and thoughtfully designed to feel like home. The staff go above and beyond—always smiling, attentive, and ready to help. From the ED Shanda, Sales Director Jacki, Business Office Manager Lisa and all the rest, everyone makes you feel seen and valued. What impressed me most was the vibrant atmosphere. Residents are engaged in meaningful activities, from music and art to outings in the local parks. The meals are delicious and tailored to individual needs, and the spacious rooms offer both comfort and privacy. Whether you're looking for Assisted Living or Memory Care, Cadence Garner offers a perfect blend of compassion, community, and quality care.

We have just moved my mother into The Cadence community this week. Jackie and the staff have been wonderful! My mom instantly felt at home there when we did our initial tour, and everyone has made the transition as easy and smooth as possible. The attention to detail and my mom's care plan have eased our minds about her care. Thanks ever so much to the staff!

Mr. Reese (I believe that was his name),and clean up staff. When I was there one time before, he was very pleasant and helpful,hence the 2 stars! But on the weekend it seems like you have to hunt for staff. Today i came there,and I saw a lady walking she fell on her face!! I rushed to her, and her lip was busted. I helped her up. Yelled for staff,just to be told there not around. I slowly walked her inside, she complained of being a little dizzy. Then, to realize she also chipped her front tooth!! She told me she was going to sit for awhile. If you are short staff,maybe pay workers more money!! Especially if you're over charging the elderly to live there!! Please do better,I would hate it,if your grown kids put you in a home🤔🙏
