I've never seen an Army Veteran to be insulted and humiliated the way they do it at Brookdale Jones Farm accisted living . The staff at this facility are completely unfazed by the presence of a witness, which I am. In response to my complaints to the director, the dining room staff stopped feeding an Army Veteran breakfast at all. Shameless. I'm deeply shocked and I want as many people as possible know about this. P.S.To get me to shut up, Office Manager Regina tried to provoke a conflict and accuse me of something. No, Office Manager Regina, I will not shut up like you asked. P.S., P.S. My response to your response: You brought breakfast to the room after an Army Veteran waited over an hour in the cafeteria. He left the dining room being upset. And after that I filed a complaint and handed it to Regina, the office manager. Breakfast time is at 7:00, as I remember. Office Manager Regina brought his breakfast in his room at 8:40 after my complain. You are very pathetic in your lies.
The staff at Brookdale Jones Farm is at the top of my list I like about living here. These wonderful people are so willing to help the residents with any problems we may have. If they can't help, they assure us they will find someone who can, and they do! In these current times of pandemic stress, they have assisted me in areas that are unfamiliar to me, and I am at ease knowing that I am being well taken care of. Brookdale Jones Farm is nestled in the Jones Valley Farm property which looks peaceful with the rolling mountains surrounding it. Contentment describes both the cows in the pastures and the way I feel. Below is a picture I painted just a few years ago. Enjoy!
We recently placed my husband's elderly mother at Brookdale Jones Farm for one week of "respite care". She absolutely thrived at Brookdale, telling everyone who would listen she had "no complaints". She enjoyed the opportunities to meet new people and to do more walking than we can manage in our home; she thoroughly enjoyed the food. Her room was beautiful, spacious, and well designed for an elderly person's needs. We very much appreciated the opportunity to take a week off and we could relax knowing mom was content and was being cared for well.
We have been residents since 2021 and so far are quite satisfied we made the right choice. Brookdale feels very secure and safe, with the front desk staffed 24-7 to monitor front entrance, and side entrances secured each night. The administration maintains close contact with residents by various means, including weekly "coffee chats" and monthly "town halls". We were impressed from the start with amenities such as "electronic daily health status" checks, activity schedules published weekly, bulletin board schedule updates as needed, daily shuttle service, weekly shuttle run to local grocery store and department stores, bi-weekly dining room menu meetings and monthly upcoming activity reviews. Information not published or communicated face-to-face can readily learned at the front desk. All staff members are courteous and genial, are helpful to a fault and project a home-like atmosphere to all residents. Not a bad place to spend our "golden years".
I have resided at Brookdale Jones for two years, and I couldn't be happier. It is my Happy Home. I consider the staff my adopted family. They are wonderful, kind, considerate and highly professional. I am well pleased with the food, I love to eat good food.. The entire restaurant staff are professional, and treat me like I am special. I would like to think it's just me, but I have watched them treat everyone else the same. We have a lot of great activities, there is something for everyone. My favorites are the crafts and the music. Every Wednesday we have a piano player and we dance. You haven't experienced joy until you see us dancing like we are teenagers. LOL We also have bands and parties with live bands, great refreshments and of course more dancing. If you have anything that requires maintenance, the staff is very fast to get the problem solved and always with a smile, and wonderful attitude. Housekeeping is limited in what they do, but let me tell you I am well pleased. I am very capable of dusting and washing my clothes, that's all I do. The front office and receptionist are great, friendly, eager to assist you always, and have a warm, friendly attitude. Management has an open door policy. If their doors are closed it is because they are in a meeting with someone. It is nice to get to pop into their offices just to say hello and to see them. I am happier than I have been in years. Sure am glad I sole my house and moved to my new home, Brookdale at Jones Farm.
