Brentwood at Laporte

Christina is amazing! She is very responsive when it comes to answering any questions in regards to getting your loved ones an apartment. The building is beautiful and the staff is WONDERFUL. can’t wait for my family member to transition to Brentwood ❤️

My mom has been a resident on the memory care unit since Feb. The nurses and Staff have been terrific. Her overall health is so much better. Thank you Blue, Kat, and Amy to name a few. Great job!

My bestfriend is Ali, she is the Memory Care Director. She invites me and my 2 children to most of the events and we absolutely love coming to them. The staff is amazing and so great with my kids. The residents love to see my 2 little girls and I feel like it brightens their time, while we are there. I have never had a bad experience there. Everyone is so helpful and kind. Everything is clean and well-taken care of. The events are always so much fun ((for all ages)) and my children usually fall asleep as soon as we leave the parking lot, because of all the excitement. If I had an elderly family member that needed special care, Brentwood would be my first choice.

A huge thank you to Christina and the Medicaid personnel at Brentwood for helping fix my mom’s issue . I can rest easy now . Can’t wait for her to move there. Thank you again.

I wanted to give the facility in Brentwood in La Porte a ZERO but could not if I wanted to leave a review - this is the ONLY reason they got 1 star. First off it seems a little strange to me that there are a bunch of 5 star reviews within the last 3 weeks with one line comments - strange wouldn’t you say? Maybe because the care is horrible and they are trying to get the first few reviews to look favorable in effort to gain more business and fill empty rooms? In our experience, the only way those 1 liner - 5 star reviews could be true is if this facility was acquired by a new owner or has had a complete staff change (starting at the top) within the last 1 1/2 to 2 years. We could not get our mom out of there soon enough having to wait for construction of an add on to be completed. First of all, the pictures on their website are not pictures of the memory care unit (would have been nice if they were). My 1st visit did not make me comfortable stepping out of the elevator into the memory care unit. The smell of urine was ever so noticeable and not a good inclination of a clean facility or cleanliness of the residents. In my option it did not look like a home but more like a facility - not homey like the pictures portrait it to be. Why doesn’t the memory care floor look like the 1st floor is the question I asked myself? Do not take or keep anything of value there (monetary or sentimental value) it will disappear. I bought my mother an opal earrings and necklace set for Mother’s Day and it came up missing a couple weeks later. She had an expensive Rx cream for cancer that also came up missing as well. They would leave her lay in bed all day. With me living out of state I would call to talk to her every day if not every other day and about 90% of the time they would put me on hold for maybe a minute only to come back and tell me she was sleeping and they did not want to wake her. Now having been to the facility and knowing where her room was, there was no way anyone could have walked to here room, went in and walked back in that short of time. It seemed pretty apparent to me and my sister that she was not getting her correct medications or as prescribed do to extreme mood swings and other issues. One night they called my sister and said they couldn’t get any response from her. They said she had been sleeping all day. They asked her if she wanted to come get her and take her to the ER and my sister told her to call an ambulance and she would meet her there. Come to find out she was septic from a UTI and they had no clue! My sister had her transported to a new facility once released from the hospital until the addition for my mothers room was done 90% complete just to get her home and provided the care, attention and love she needed and deserves. We are very happy to say, she has been doing great ever since!!! Having had my state license for Home Health Care Nursing and taking care of elderly patients for 6+ years, I would highly suggest checking other options - I would NOT recommend or wish this facility to my worst enemy.
