Boulder Ponds Senior Living

I highly recommend Boulder Ponds if you are looking for independent, assisted or memory care. A nurse/consultant suggested we look here. My Mom has been a resident for over 2 months now and we are very happy with her care. Amazingly clean and welcoming. Boulder feels like a home, not a facility. Family/friends welcome anytime. I stop in at all times of the day and consistently find staff interacting with residents with respect and kindness. We are called if there is anything we need to know. Bingo, musicians brought in, ice cream socials . . . my Mom is doing so much more than she was able to do in her own home and can walk so much better with her walker in hallways and with assistance outside because there are safe areas to walk (she couldn't at her house because not enough walking space inside and outside busy streets/incline driveway). There is a secure patio to enjoy and accessible sidewalks around the building for afternoon walks. Nurses and Aides are excellent - not a complaint at all. The location in Lake Elmo is convenient and adjacent to a nice family neighborhood. Doesn't always like her food but has the option to select other options from an everyday menu ahead of time if there is a menu item you don't enjoy.

My mother passed away at Boulder Pond a year ago, while she was there she had many issues with getting help when needed. I'm writing now because as the responsible party on her account I am continuing to be billed a year later. I have called several times and been assured that this will be taken care of and I will no longer be billed. They continue to rub salt in a wound with no compassion for the family. Would never recommend this place for anyone's loved one.

Jen Blomberg has made it welcoming in the memory care unit. She makes sure my Mom is been for her appointments and breakfast ordered so I can get her to appointments on time.  She lets me know if she sees something not quite right with my Mom.  My Mom really connects with her and she treats my Mom so lovingly.  Jen is invaluable in the memory care area.  You can tell Jen really likes her job and treats all residents with compassion and respect.

The staff is amazing! The attention to detail is appreciated. Charlie in admissions is a blessing for all the families. She has a heart of gold and knowing that the residents have her there every day gives me a smile.

I recently had the opportunity to visit Boulder Ponds. Upon arriving and throughout my visit, I was greeted with warmth and kindness amongst the team members and residents. Such an amazing community.
