O’Neill Healthcare Lakewood has been a true blessing for many families. The level of care, attention, and kindness shown by every staff member — from the nurses and aides to the therapy team and front desk will be a great help for many families. They are not only knowledgeable and professional but also incredibly warm and compassionate. The facility itself is well-kept and comfortable, creating a home-like atmosphere that made all the difference in helping loved one settle in.

I can’t say enough good things about O’Neill Healthcare. From the moment we stepped through the doors, we felt a sense of warmth, professionalism, and genuine care that is often hard to find. The entire staff from the nurses and aides to the administrative team go above and beyond every day. If you’re looking for a place where your loved one will be treated like family, O’Neill Healthcare is that place. We are truly grateful for the incredible staff and the peace of mind they’ve given us.

The skilled part is good. The long term care is disturbingly understaffed. My girlfriends mom has been found, more often then not, in pants so filled with urine and feces, that it soaked her pants to the knees and half way up her back. And staff does not have time to put her mom on the toilet fast enough after hitting her call button. Can often take 20-70 minutes to get an aid. They are over worked and understsffed but my girlfriend always has nothing but praise and appreciation for them. She says, 98 percent arevamazing. A few, a very small few, not so much. So her mom is now brief dependent but was not 2 months ago when she entered the facility. The facility put her mom , who has memory issues and against her wishes on a Provide A Ride and had them leave her ALONE on July 24, 2025 with no return trip scheduled. Her mom can answer a phone but not dial. Her mom has no idea where O'Neill Healthcare Lakewood is. Or even what it's called. Or that it is where she is staying. O'Neill s told her mom when they put her on the Provide A Ride, "you have no choice". And refused to call her daughter to go with her. Her mom is now terrified they will do it and other things to her again. Even though my girlfriend is fighting cancer and was not ready to bring her home, she can't continue to feel like she is being gaslighted, intimidated and retaliated against by management any longer. Nor does she the strength to be forced to battle O'Neill Healthcare Lakewood every single day for the most basic of care for her 85 year old mother. And watch her mother's dignity and humanity be crushed and destroyed. The staff is great but the facility feels insanely understaffed. This has been our experience. And from posts on one of the Lakewood Community Facebook pages... most people share the same experiences. But some had much worse outcomes. Look for "genuine care" elsewhere.
