This really made my day ...being an AFH provider is at time very challenging .. but the rewards receive is more than the monetary , it is the impact we made to the family in the community. Sharing one of my family’s post in FB : Do you know anyone looking for an Adult Family Home for an older family member or friend? First my elderly Dad and now my Mom have been living for years at the most wonderful place in Lakewood called Jade Park. Owned by a nurse (once Nurse of the Year Pierce Co!) It is very comfortable and "homey" and not institutional feeling. It is extremely clean and the handful of people that live there are well-cared for. I understand they have an opening right now. I know this is always a hard decision and there are good and not so good AFHs. But after 10 years there with one, then another parent with Alzheimer's, I can personally recommend Jade Park and Gladys, the owner. (253) 906-2354.
