La Sonora at Dove Mountain

The move in process at La Sonora was a smooth process that made me feel at ease going through the process of finding the perfect space for my family member. Kelly and the entire activity department really go out of their way to ensure the residents have engaging and fun filled activities and events. They even take the time to sit and have conversations with residents even when they are busy. The smiles, laughter and general friendliness of all of the staff make the atmosphere here feel like home! I am beyond happy that we chose this community.

I took a tour of La Sonora at Dove Mountain, this has got to be the best tour I have experienced. The staff there was absolutely wonderful Joanna showed us around she is amazing, very knowledgeable and answered all the right questions about this facility. The residents look so happy and relaxed. They were all active it was just an incredible tour, I can’t stress enough When the time comes I will be bringing my mom here. Oh and did I mention the view!!! Goodness.

My Mom and Dad have been residents for about 5 months and they are very happy. They constantly rave about the staff on the floors but especially Ryan and McKenzie. Personally Joanna has been an overall superstar. She has helped me with so many details and supported and provided options. Recently my mom was admitted to the hospital and the staff including Kelly has helped get my dad to the hospital. Joanna even went to visit my mom in the hospital. The new management team are making some important improvements as well.

Dad moved to La Sonora from another facility and now, in one word, is thriving. He has made friends with a wide variety of backgrounds and feels like he is in a community that cares about him and makes life interesting. The staff has been responsive, professional and cheerful. While my dad has mobility challenges and requires specialized equipment, the staff quickly learned how to operate the equipment and support his needs. The management team has developed a great culture at La Sonora which is reflected in the low staff turnover. They also solicit and listen to feedback from residents in order to continuously improve the support and to encourage participation in the community from residents. I am grateful to the management team and to the staff for providing an enriching environment to my father and giving our family peace of mind.

La Sonora at Dove Mountain is a fantastic community in the Oro Valley area. I have had the pleasure of working with Joanna to move several of my clients there. What I love most is the variety of living options, from Independent, Assisted Living, and Memory Care all on site. The staff at La Sonora do not shy away from individuals with high care needs that other large facilities would turn away. You can move her and know that no matter what your future will bring, La Sonora will have you covered.
