Harmony at West Shore

I spent 2 months researching retirement communities for a family member. I talked with and toured several communities in our area. This was a daunting task. There are several communities in our area and each had their own good qualities. We eventually chose Harmony not only because it checked all the boxes but it felt very much like home. The apartments and building are absolutely gorgeous! Nicole was an absolute delight to work with!! She was very patient and allowed us to tour several times prior to making the decision. We never felt like an annoyance and she was ALWAYS positive and pleasant no matter how many questions we asked! Choosing a place for a family member can be a difficult decision but Nicole made it very easy and always made us feel welcome! I HIGHLY recommend putting Harmony on the list of places to look into or family.

I had the pleasure of working with Nicole, at Harmony at West Shore, and I honestly can’t say enough good things about her. From the very first conversation, she was kind, patient, and truly cared about helping us find the right fit. You can tell she loves what she does and genuinely wants the best for every family she meets. Nicole took her time walking us through everything — the apartments, activities, etc. She also explained it all in a way that made it easy to understand. She never made us feel rushed or pressured, just supported and informed. Which was what I needed for this hard transition with my mother. What really stood out was how thoughtful and knowledgeable she is. She answered every question with honesty and warmth, and it was clear she really knows her stuff. She even followed up afterward just to make sure we were comfortable with everything, which meant a lot. If you’re looking into senior living and want someone who’s not only great at their job but also genuinely kind and easy to talk to, I highly recommend reaching out to Nicole at Harmony at West Shore. Happily posting this review for my mom regarding her recent experience at Harmony at West Shore: My husband Richard and I planned to downsize from our large home in the Finger Lakes of NY in the Spring of 2026. In June, while visiting my son in Camp Hill, we took the opportunity to make an appointment and tour Harmony at West Shore. It was an amazing experience to meet Nicole, Director of Marketing, who greeted us with friendly grace and immediately walked us to the apartment we would be occupying. We loved the light open and spacious rooms. The kitchen and closet space was much larger than expected. She took the time to sit down with us and explain how they operate and listen to any questions we might have. We walked through the facility viewing all the available amenities to us. So many welcome features are offered we did not find available at other facilities. A wide variety of scheduled activities gives us peace of mind we would be staying active and meeting new friends. We returned home, put our house on the market and look forward to selling quickly so we can join the Harmony community by September. We know we will feel at home at Harmony and look forward to the new adventure. Judi McGrath

If I could give a zero I would. My mother lived here for 4 years until recently passing. In that time there has been 4 or more directors! There have been so many issues from food quality cleaning communication and lack of empathy from upper management. We were sold a bunch of empty promises. Icing on the cake was my mother falling and housekeeping helping her get up. He advised management that somebody should call the family! Since she was independent living they didnt bother! What about common decency to another human being. Empathy for her and her family! All they care about is money! Rent keeps going up everywhere and services being discontinued or just poorly implemented. I found this funny that one of the Google reviews from Tanya is the director herself. Really? I had so many residents asking for my help with fighting for them since management seems to only respond to families and not the residents. Stay away from this place is my suggestion!

Called into the facility inquiring about what they had to offer. The head nurse took my call without hesitation. She was very friendly and answered all my questions. I felt she really cares about the services they provide and people they take care of. Didn’t seem like she was reading a script. Now the hard part of convincing my parents to take a tour.
