Rose Garden Residential Care

I’m sad & angry! 😡 went to visit my besties Mom with her and could not believe what we encountered from beginning to end. Took us 10 minutes to find her as staff had no idea where she was. We found her in another patients room. (Room smelled like a porta-pottie and was littered with dirty diapers) I did not enter you could clearly see & smell from the the doorway. Once, we located her the condition of that room was reflected in her personal care. It was clear she had not bathed, had hair washed or brushed teeth in an extended period of time and clothing was visibly dirty. Checked her room it was in slightly better condition however personal items were missing. Lunch time was approaching and all patients were taken to a community room. There were dozens of patients and only a handful of workers. Some looked much worse than my friend’s mom. The only nice thing about this place was the exterior grounds. DO NOT CONSIDER THIS PLACE FOR SOMEONE YOU LOVE!

If I could do less than one star, I would. The only good thing I can say about this place is the grounds were nice. My mother has dementia and I just visited her. She was filthy, she stunk so bad, I gagged when I hugged her. All the nice things I bought her, are gone. She has been to the hospital twice due to rectal bleeding. Dirty diapers everywhere. Took me 10 minutes just to find her, staff did not know where she was. She was in someone else's room. My mom was always a clean freak, if she knew what she was living in, she would want to die. Don't send your loved ones here!!!!!

My brother was sent to Rose Gardens 7/14/22 that I was told it a very good place for his condition. I was on vacation when he moved and immediately after vacation my husband and I went visit my brother and was not permitted in. We were told we needed an appointment, I told them we drove over an hour to get here and was never told of any appointments. We went to the business office where we met Christina, she was not pleasant and told us due to a Covid case we are not able to come in. I asked how many cases she said 1, at this time Morgan comes out and say we need to make appointment in advance. I asked is there any Covid cases she stated “no” we thought we had one. So I asked then why can’t I come in to see my brother? She had someone bring him to the gate in a wheelchair, and still not able to enter. I had to get ombudsman involved to see my brother. Two months later we saw my brother and he was in horrible shape, had not been shaved or haircut since he arrived, Morgan is the administrator and told me she never saw my brothers room! How his that!? His room was grossly nasty no soap, toothpaste, paper towels, tissue, bath towels NOTHING! No ADLs for him at all had taken place, since I reported them to ombudsman immediately retaliation started. My brother had a major stroke in 2018 from that time he was never the brother I knew that sang, played piano, laughed danced, he was an electrician by trade. He know incontinent of urine and bow, unable to care for himself. Not even a week after ombudsman stepped in a staff member named Lilia called the police in my brother claiming he “ attacked staff” mind you he is in a “Memory Care Facility” where patients with brain injury, dementia, Alzheimer’s and other conditions are housed, but because they were upset with me and wanted him out at this time, the officers called me and said “no one is going to jail due to the type of facility he was in and thing like that happens. So that wasn’t good enough they made another claim 3 days later and called police again, this time they had the right officer that didn’t see a patient but saw a “BLACK MAN” they took my disable brother that wears a diaper chronic diabetic I unable care for himself to jail! Lilia called my phone yelling that my brother is leaving and I need to go get him from jail!” Knowing I pay rent for him and no 30day notice or any notice was served. They left him in jail over night, and again I had to call ombudsman to go and mediate this situation. They have notice to them that they are responsible to go pick him up and bring him back and follow the law! When he return the same horrible treatment continued he lost 15 lbs in the 4 months he was there, when I would call him at night he would tell me he was hungry, I would Grubhub him food, one night I bought Red Lobster and paid $65 and the staff would not go to the gate or answer the phone to get his food, so driver left it outside, never retrieved. November 18th my brother was sent to the hospital where he remains today, my brother since his stroke had not been able to communicate true feelings, but by the time I made it to the hospital I was greeted my social workers and staff telling me my brother has stated he does not want to return to Rose Gardens and he could not stop crying. My heart was broken. Whenever Rose Gardens name was mentioned he bust out crying! Rose Gardens needs a brand new Matured staffed and a internal investigation on Morgan and Lilia! And the office staff. One thing I have watched and noted is they will all back each others Lies. My brothers clothing and decor was stolen immediately! Closet and drawers were all empty l, I was told his things were in the laundry” how when he’s doesn’t leave his room and no one takes care of him. Rose Gardens will have the courts to answer to and I want to see if staff will back Morgan lies in court! Below are pictures of my brothers room, all the hazards that were moved by my husband, all the empty hangers are clothing missing, drawers empty. They moved his room and it was left equally nasty.

Don't send anyone here! After the death of my father, My mother who had dementia had to be put into a home very quickly it was the only 1 with room availability and took a tour and seemed like a nice place but I was very wrong ..they took her favorite blanket that was my grandmother's and she wanted it with her but they took it and stole it! Then they took her clothes and she was sitting with no underwear constantly and sitting in pee till she got a rash soo bad she was miserable and couldn't even be social cause she had no pants or underwear on and the rash started making her very ill. I wanted to switch her out of the facility soon as I got back from visiting another family member but she died from a heart attack on my way home while I was on the plane..they wouldnt let me see her or anything..corner said she only had underwear on..that was all her possessions!. Besides mild dementia she was pretty healthy but didn't even make it a few months there! They also take away meds and give extra cause old ones dont get canceled cause pharmacy doesn't do scripts right as I called multiple times trying to get her meds right. They will neglect and kill your family member then take there precious things like my great grandmother's blanket I never got back! I tried for months after her death and never got it!! I sent multiple things from Amazon as well for my mom that they took for there employees ...my mother was there up till 2023 and they just remove post or add fake good ones...there horrible...save your 6k a month and find a nicer place I regret ever putting my mom there. This place is beautiful! The open courtyard gives the residents something that most facilities do not offer.... the freedom to explore! Thanks to its design, the residents are able to feel in control of their daily activities in and out of their apartments. The rooms are cute and cozy and offer a true homey feel. The staff are helpful and very friendly. From personal experience, I can say that this facility is very family friendly. They host fun community events and invite families to join in on the fun! Definitely a place to consider touring!
