Tanglewood Trace

My name is Dee Ruzicic I live at Tanglewood I have lived here 3 years. I moved from Chicago . I’m 85 years old I love this place . I love the people , the way they treat me. All the employees help me whenever I need help rather it’s getting to an appointment or helping with something at home. I tell everyone how wonderful this is. There has been people to leave and move and come back cause no where else is like Tanglewood. I love everyone and I am so grateful that I found a nice place to live . I will stay here until I die. I have made many of friends and many beautiful memories. I’m appreciated for everyone and there caring ways . The management is great and they have great staff. The building is clean and smells good , very well taken care of . We always have something to do and the entertainment is great. The activities staff is great and I just love them. We have beautiful atriums full of beautiful flowers. You are greeted at the front desk with such kindness and hospitality. I have nothing bad to say about my home. Even though I don’t eat in the dinning room they have a menu that is full of other choices if you don’t want what they are having that day , the kitchen manager is just splendid . He goes above and beyond for residents , staff and all the events that are cooked for . They have a family night every month and we are able to enjoy time with family and friends and wonderful food. So if you want a wonderful place to live I recommend it !

Grab some Popcorn, this is going to be a lot Only reason I'm goung here is because i cant get an answer anywhere wlse. .This place is Horrible! They take people for for Everything they have then they just leave them in their rooms. My mom is being force to use a pharmacy that she didn't need to be swittched to and now she has to pay money that she does not have for meds she desperately needs. They tell the pharmacy tht they arent allowed to fill her meds for whatever reason. Something is extremely off with this place. They don't do what they say and will say anything to get people in there then the staff is rude to the residents. (Not all staff some of them do care) and a few of these 5 star reviews 1 if them is from the Person that sits behind the desk.. 🤔 . They don't do what they say and they won't answer people. I could go on and on. But it's been a long few months and I am stooping to this level because I want people to see this Place is an absolute joke. Residents fall and hurt themselves really bad and they take forever to answer the call buttons. Eake people up for meals. They dont seem to care about anything but $$. They're forcing my mom to use their pharmacy, But then she goes days without her medication My mom is in serious pain And has been on serious medication for a long time. But they changed her pharmacy and then forced her to use one that's out of state Even though She is on medicaid.. And then If the nurse does not get to her With an allotted time. When she does get her medications. Then she has to wait hours till the next dosing schedule time to get her meds. The people that sit behind the desk, Lie to get people in there to get people in there, So they can charge them and take all their money because they see that they have money. Then they think they can charge them whatever that's why they don't give you a estimate. Until they know how much money you make. Or have in the bank. They told my mom 704 because she's a Level 1. But yet they want to take her whole check. All but $1. Then tell her she has to provide her own hygiene & toiletries. BUT WAIT THERES MORE!!! There was the incidents where people have fallen and lay there for God only knows how long. One lady has busted her face open another broke her back. I have personally witnessed how long it takes some people to even answer the buttons. They give each person a bracelet with a button to push for when they need help with things. They won't take my mom to her mental health appointments. Because they just assume she's not going. But they are Forcing her to use a pharmacy that is not doing their part either. And telling her she has to pay $200 for 14 pills. But then telling the pharmacy that they changed from that they aren't allowed to fill my mom's meds. And there's more. But yea I'm at the point where idk what to do anymore. And I know that it's more than just my mom they are doing this too. People get hundreds stole out of their rooms and it's just another day in paradise??? The heck is really going on... yea it looks nice but that's just to keep you from seeing what's really going on. My mom has been getting bullied and picked on and They won't take her to her appointment for her mental health and make it look like she's the crazy one because she's trying to get help. They take all her money and then tell her she has to pay for this and that. I could go on for days actually because there's so much wrong with this place.

Lisa was so helpful and showed me and my family members around. The staff and residents we met were so hospitable!

I cannot say enough about Tanglewood Trace and how comfortable I feel leaving my elderly mother in their care. Great environment, great activities and great people. I am able to trust them completely and that’s what’s important to us. She loves it there and is totally at home there.

Absolutely wonderful people and the place is simply ideal for what we are looking for which is a caring lively environment for our elderly love one.
