Lamar at Town Center Senior Living Community

We’ve had not so great experience elsewhere but Lamar at Town Center have far exceeded my expectations. The staff members treat the residents with kindness and respect. They cater to the residents needs and willing help them with anything they may need. The activities director does such an amazing job! The wide variety of activities and outings she comes up with is incredible! There Is something to do or that is planned every minute of the day. This helps the residents so very much! Can’t thank Lamar at Town Center enough for the great care they are providing to my mom. Appreciate them so very much!

Always improving and caring community for our loved one! The amazing staff is very attentive to the residents. When our family member started to decline. We recieved a call from the head nurse Keith about our loved ones failing health over the last serveral days. Keith was respectful, informative and explained that the decline would likely not improve. Keith offered a in person meeting to discuss options for hospice care. We met with a few companies and learned that hospice is just not for the last few weeks or days of life, but can be for months especially when started early. We then made a very hard but necessary decison to pick St. Croix Hospice, the dedicated team has provided exceptional personalized hospice care our loved one deserves alongside and in conjunction with the wonderful staff at Lamar Town Center.

This place is a joke as it has gone downhill since the transition. Now mind you two transitions in less than five months.They are not cleaning the facility efficiently for health concerns or let alone daily maintenance. They don't even have regular transportation. They are not doing minimal services due to staffing. I would not recommend any of your family or friends loved one to come here due to how the the staff treats and forgets about customer service, helping elders, and the fact that this place is assisted living. Update is that they’ve had multiple new management members after investigation took place. Environment for the employees is a joke, therefore everyone has been quit or just don't put forth any effort. There is no responsibility!!! Look into the cooking crew as they ignore the residents asking for food, the wait time. The cook who swaps meds with residents is mind blowing to me. Look into the med techs! I honestly don’t know how they have not had major complaints to authorities that shut this place down. Bigger investigation needs to take place. Because I hope the staff members family ends up here and gets treatment like my family does. As family members have to make this choice or the time comes and an individual ends up in the assisted living care due to health issues and the staff chose this job to give back, act like you have compassion. Give the red carpet to all of the elderly members because they're older than staff, management, etc. Please do not have your loved ones come here.

I couldn’t have asked for a better place for my mom to have been the last 7 months of her life. The staff, including the administrators, Director of Nursing, Nurses, CNA’s, activities directors, housekeeping and maintenance, couldn’t have been kinder to my mother. Keith, the Director of Nursing, actually came in the middle of the night to comfort us as my mom passed. Since he came on board, he has cleaned house and recruited the phenomenal staff they currently have. They are very conscientious and always tried to meet my mom’s needs. Don’t pay attention to the cosmetics of the lobby, hallways, and elevators, (they are in the process of fixing those up), pay attention to the attentiveness, compassion, and love that radiates from the staff to the residents. ❤️

This is a great community, the activity director Nicole is spectacular! The activities they have for my family member are just simply amazing, the healthcare department is great as well!
