Sunrise of McCandless

The care and facilities at Sunrise of McCandless are head and shoulders above any other facility in the area. The staff are exceptional. Our family member became their family member and was treated with compassion around the clock. His needs were always met in a timely manner. He made connections to the staff and we were always confident he had someone there to help him with whatever he needed. When we decided to find a residential facility for our family member we were worried about what to expect. Sunrise far exceeded our expectations, made him feel comfortable & happy, and made us feel confident and able to relax knowing he was in such good hands. Thank you!!!

My mother was able to move here after residing at another personal care home that was not meeting her needs. The difference in care, cleanliness, positive feelings, and personal treatment between sunrise and her former residence was like night and day. I got the feeling that Sunrise really cared and they had a medical team caring for her and updating me daily on how they were helping her. Her room was always clean and so was she. She even liked the food. She never had any complaints after moving to Sunrise. Even the dying process was made easier to bear due to the staffs caring nature. I highly recommend Sunrise of McCandless.

My Grandfather resided here for a year and a half and my Grandmother 6 and a half years. This became their home and they enjoyed their final time here. The care is exceptional and the staff became family to us. My Grandparents were clean , happy and comfortable. Whenever an issue arose with my Grandmother's continuing decline in health, I was informed promptly and options were discussed before any transfer or treatment happened. My Grandmother enjoyed the activities, outings and seasonal menu. we all enjoyed the holiday activities and summer parties. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Sunrise to anyone looking for care for a loved one.

Sunrise McCandless has a very warm and sociable culture and environment, fostered also by the warm, open architecture. The staff was readily accessible by telephone and in person and very helpful when reached. The visiting physical and occupational therapists successfully enabled my Father to gain strength and walk throughout the facility using a walker. The food was good and of a wide variety. The staff did a good job of encouraging my Dad to meet other residents and engage in social activities.

My mom lived here for almost three years, and I could not recommend Sunrise more. My mom received excellent, compassionate care. She needed significant help with activities of daily living and really relied on staff for that. They cared for her as if she was their own family. She loved them and was so appreciative for them, and we are too.
