Independence Village of Plymouth

I'm not a resident or have a family member that is, but I've visited Independence Village of Plymouth several times and always found their staff to be friendly and caring. The common areas are always clean, well-maintained and inviting. The food is very good, and they offer many relevant and fun activities for the residents to enjoy and participate in.

These are pictures of my mom’s bathroom and carpet. This is on a better day, so embarrassed when people come to visit her and have to use the bathroom. After numerous complaints, it’s still happening. My mom is spending alot of money to stay in this facility. We’ve had other issues too not just the cleanliness of the bathroom (which has been even worse than this) her phone was stolen and we were told we should install cameras in her room, which is absolutely ridiculous then her tv remote taken. To say that we are unhappy is an understatement. My mom is too fragile to move now. We spent a lot of time going to different facilities to place my mom at thought this would be good Very disappointed

Independence Village is a beautiful community and an excellent choice if you’re looking for a place for your loved one. Debbie and her team provide a loving, safe, and welcoming environment where residents are truly cared for. It’s clear that the staff go above and beyond to make everyone feel at home.

My wife and I visit IVP frequently to assist with crafts and other activities. Debbie and the team at IVP are always welcoming, the facility (which people call Home) is beautiful and well kept I always make a point to stop in the cafe or dining room to say hello and have a coffee with a resident, such a pleasant atmosphere.

I have a sister in this facility and in the beginning things were different. The cleaning of the room has gone downhill. The carpet is dirty needs to be cleaned. Vacuum isn't done till a work order is placed. Im sure the cost is quite expensive. Disappointed we have to come with cleaning supplies to do what should be done in house. Step up Independence Village. Get back to the way it was when she first came there!
