Countryside Lakes

My mother moved from Seattle almost 4 years ago. She entered Countryside Lakes as an independent living resident. From the very beginning of her residency she was treated with respect and kindness from the wonderful staff. She made many close friends there. The culture at Countryside encourages its residents to be active and social with many activities to choose from: field trips, inhouse concerts, lechers, card groups and mahjong clubs. My mom flourished at Countryside this community added much value in final chapter of her long life. After my mom's passing the helpfulness and kindness persisted, The Center even offered to allow us to have her Celebration of Life at the Center so her many elderly friends could attend. Our family will always have fond memories of mom's time at Countryside Lakes. A special thank you to Peter Pakuris who was so helpful during and at the end of the time mom spent at Countryside. My mother is currently a resident at Countryside Lakes. She finds so many wonderful things about living there. Her unit is very comfortable. It has 9 ft ceilings, screened porch, full kitchen and a large closet for her clothes. The grounds are lovely. There is a swimming pool, 2 lakes and beautiful areas for walking. She finds many activities are available for each resident every day. Many people are brought in to entertain the residents. Most of all the staff here truly cares for the residents so there are a lot of happy people here. It is a wonderful and safe place for her.

My family and I can’t say enough wonderful things about this facility. They are INCREDIBLE. We have one difficult loved one in our family that we were trying to get set up in independent/assisted living and they went ABOVE AND BEYOND to help us with our loved one! Knowing our loved one would be a challenge, that did not keep them from spending hours helping us get him signed up!! Then, move in day came. We have spent this week setting up the apartment. Peter, Janet, and Kris have all been by almost daily checking in and making sure we have everything we need!!! They are extremely good communicators!!! Beyond the staff, the facility is clean and well cared for. Everyone you meet is kind and it has a VERY lively atmosphere!! They use everything they have. They use their veterans lounge for activities and the salon was open and easy to book with! Happy hour is several times a week, and you see people out walking the lovely walking paths they have. My family toured 4 facilities before we decided on this one and it had us hooked the minute we arrived. It’s everything it appears to be and even MORE!! We’d give it 10 stars if we could!

Great place employees are very kind and respectful and have Happy faces which makes a good feeling when you looking around the community. Residents are eager to tell you how great and happy they are in this community. Food is exceptional.so many guest speakers and music all week long. Activities are Plentiful, you have to plan your day. They have a lunch bunch and shows that they attend Frequently. All in all a great place to live.

Initially, my family was apprehensive about moving my parents into an independent/assisted living facility, as it represented a significant life change. However, our worries quickly dissipated after they settled into CountrySide Lakes. This community exceeded our expectations, providing them with a remarkable quality of life. My parents started in an independent living apartment, a perfect fit for them. They appreciated the privacy of their own space, complete with a small kitchen. Yet, CountrySide Lakes offered more than housing; it offered a vibrant community. With a dining facility, a variety of community activities, and a supportive staff, my parents quickly formed friendships and engaged in more social activities than we had seen in years.. There were times I’d call to check in, only to reschedule because they were right in the middle of playing cards, dominoes, or going out to a group lunch or shopping trip. As their needs evolved, CountrySide Lakes seamlessly transitioned them into assisted living support. The staff's attentiveness extended to every aspect of their care, including medicine dispensing, laundry, and even helping my dad navigate to the dining room when he needed it. The convenience of having doctors and nurses visit, and even being able to take X-rays right in their apartment, was beyond what we could have expected. In addition to the exceptional care, the facility itself underwent a recent renovation. Not only are the rooms impressive, each with a balcony overlooking a picturesque pond, but the communal spaces are meticulously maintained. The location is also advantageous, situated near restaurants, grocery stores, and banks in Port Orange. What sets CountrySide Lakes apart is its remarkable staff. They are not merely friendly; they make it their mission to know each resident personally, including their names, preferences, friends, and family. This level of personalized care creates a truly comfortable and supportive environment. Reflecting on our experience, it is the blend of care, engaging social life, and unwavering support during both happy and challenging times that stands out. Watching my parents thrive in this community has been a joy.
