Highgate Senior Living of Prescott Lakes

If you are looking for the perfect Senior living spot for your loved one or self, look no further. Highgate is your home! This beautiful place is warm and inviting. They use diffusers that leave you feeling energetic for your day and relaxed in the evening. The food is delicious whether breakfast, lunch or dinner. I had the pleasure to dine with my loved one at all. Balanced, colorful, flavorful and filling. The resident homes are quaint and well designed. What really sets Highgate apart is their staff whether it is their receptionist, sales associate, dining associate, care partner or nurse, your loved one is treated as if they are the only one living there…these individuals, too numerous to name, are walking angels. They know your loved one, their history, likes and dislikes and even more impressive, they know their name sometimes even before you have been formally introduced. Their sign outside reads, One Big Family” and it couldn’t be more true. My loved one has made a group of friends in less than 3 weeks and is thriving. And, as for me, I have found support, comfort and peace knowing my loved one is cared for and I will be kept abreast of what is happening in their life there. What more could you possibly ask for. Highgate is the home you are looking for!!! P.S. Don’t forget to check out their movie theatre!

My mom has moderate Alzheimer’s with dementia and can still do simple tasks. She had lived in an assisted living facility out of state for a while. That experience was not great. The Highgate has been a breath of fresh air. From the first day, everyone who works there made a point to know her name and greet her when she’s out and about. Their experience working with people with dementia is obvious in their patience and care. The facility is extremely clean, very cozy feeling, and we enjoy visiting her there. Most importantly, we feel extremely confident that she is well taken care of. I cannot express enough how great the staff is there, from sales, to front desk, to food service, the medical staff, everyone.

Finding Highgate Prescott Lakes was a godsend for both me and my mother (who has vascular dementia). Mom is still very mobile, so it was difficult for me, at first, to accept her moving into The Cottage, knowing that she would no longer be allowed to go out for longer walks on her own. But, Highgate came to the rescue! Knowing how much these walks mean to Mom, they find a staff-member to accompany her as often as they can. Mom also loves to be outside in the courtyard, so they bring her meals out there to her. They truly do their best to make every resident as comfortable as possible. And how this move has helped me goes beyond words. THEY made the decision to remove Mom's phone so that I didn't have to. Their expertise in this area, and truly ALL areas of dementia, have given me my life back. I still visit Mom often, but know that she is very well taken care of in my absence. She no longer relies on me for everything. She has a new family that is much better equipped to deal with all of the changes she is going through than I am. Besides, the facility is beautiful, very well laid-out, offers exceptional food (which Mom used to almost always complain about at her previous facilities), is always very clean, and very well-staffed. When I visit I am treated like family, too, and I love them as if they were part of mine! There are so many other little things that Highgate offers, you really must take a tour and see for yourself. You will not be disappointed.

I volunteer every so often here and I just want to recognize the staff, and kitchen for the wonderful work they do for the residents. From the care and daily attention needed, to the beautiful dining experiences Chef Nicole provides... When I am there it truly makes my volunteering experience that much more enjoyable. 🙏🏼

Earlier this year, my relative needed a place to call their home when they determined that they needed more assistance for their daily living. A few years ago we had visited Highgate Senior Living and determined this was a place on our "short list" if and when the time came for a move to an assisted care facility. Earlier this year we needed to make that decision and Highgate was on the top of our list. The staff is truly very caring, compassionate, and have a friendly approach to making Highgate a special place. They have a beautiful facility that is well-maintained, they provide excellent food, numerous open areas for socializing, and daily social activities available. Our family has been very pleased with the overall experience with Highgate Senior Living!
