My close friend Stan Douglas, WW2, Korea, Vietnam as well as The Bay of Pigs Veteran was told by doctors he could not go home to live alone after a stay in the hospital in August of 2023. I made it my mission to find him the best place to live in Redding that he could afford. A Touch of Heaven was the place I selected and I do not believe I could have chosen a better place. The leadership and staff treated Stan as family. They loved him not just in words but in their actions. I feel like they have become my extended family as well. Stan passed away on March 4th, 2024. I miss my friend and know I will miss visiting A Touch of Heaven as often. Wonderful place and people!
Sarah and everyone at Touch Of Heaven have been outstanding in their care of my father. He was quite happy during his stay. The staff are attentive, caring, and willing to go the extra mile for their clients. They treat both the client and the clients family as their family, getting to know each person.
My Dad was a resident of "A Touch of Heaven" up until he passed away. He absolutely loved all the staff. He spoke so fondly of everyone there, and he said that going there was the best decision of his life. He was previously having issues remembering to take his medications and was falling alot. Once he got to "A Touch of Heaven" and started getting his medications regularly, he stopped falling and started walking better and remembering things more clearly. If my dad didn't like the meal that was provided on a certain night, they always made sure he got something he liked. When covid started, they followed the rules and regulations so well and I never had to worry about my dad getting covid. The supervisor was very very kind, understanding about literally anything I ever spoke to her about. Even after my dad's passing, I still check in every once in awhile to see how things are going and they are glad to talk to me, even though he's not there anymore. If you're looking for a safe and friendly place for your loved one, I promise, this is the place I would recommend to anyone!!!!
2 stars for me. When my mother was there in 2019 and they were under previous management, they would NOT give you a receipt for paying each month. Also my mothers wedding ring went missing and nothing ever came of it. Lastly, she was "asked to leave" as she had night terrors, even though we literally had no place lined up for her to go. Run, don't walk away from this place.
