A visit to see a friend here turned into a celebration. The newly renovated facility was lovely, the folks who greeted me at the door were friendly and hospitable. My friend seemed satisfied and was looking forward to a Veterans Day celebration in the community room. It was a fun activity, with special acknowledgments of the veterans who reside there, music, a delightful singer, and a party with cake afterward. Everyone seemed to enjoy the festivities. Kudos to the staff for all that was done to bring a little joy and recognition to the Veterans and their families.
The facility was clean and nicely decorated. The staff were friendly and polite. The room they had available was smaller than expected but larger rooms were under repair. They were very conscientious of our budget and were more than happy to negotiate some things.
Commonwealth Senior Living is a pleasure to work with when exploring senior living options. Christine is always calm and concise and builds rapport quickly with families. Christine is flexible and advocates for her residents' needs throughout the entire move in process.
So far for the short time my mom as been there it has been a positive experience for her. The staff are very kind to her and she really seems to like them. It is a nice and clean environment and they take great care of my mom. There are lots of activities for the residents so my mom does not get too bored. It is also very nice to be able to visit when ever you want without being on a strict schedule. Also, it is nice to able to eat with your loved one. Overall, I am quite pleased and impressed with Commonwealth Senior Living in Chesterfield County.
Paid for laundry to be done once a week, well, got done once in a month. Apparently when It comes to medicine, depends on who is working if you get it all. Staff was told about my mom the day she moved in, staff stated, oh no not here, we will get her out and about to meet other residents and do activities. That hasn’t happened either. Appears you can believe less than half what you are told there. Beware! Staff is nice until you question them.
