American House Riverview

The community relations director, Rachel was FANTASTIC!!! She was incredibly knowledgeable about the aging community, supportive during a difficult transition, and up lifting for a better tomorrow!!! The Riverview facility was bright, fresh, and inviting. Rachel did a great job showcasing all the amenities available to the residents. Every staff member greeted me with a smile and the residents I encountered looked happy and peaceful. Thanks, Rachel!!!

Loveeee Rachel, She definitely made the transition for my grandma a lot smoother and more comfortable moving in American House. If I have any questions about anything I know I can give her a call and they’ll be answered without hesitation! Definitely a place you should look at if you’re thinking of moving a loved one into a facility. I’m at ease knowing wonderful people work at Riverview. Definitely worth a Tour !!!

My Sister lives there and when we have visited everything liked pretty well kept up. My Sister seems pretty happy there and are plenty of activities to keep her busy. Rachel has been very helpful getting my sister set up in her apartment and always informs us about things!

If anyone has seen Happy Gilmore - I’m not sure the portrayal of Shady Acres was too far off from American House in Riverview. The leadership is clearly in it for the money and for themselves as there is no priority placed on residents and caring for them. As a resident, the value nowhere near meets the standard of adequate in terms of care and attentiveness. The food, the portions, the maintenance, and the overall care has deteriorated, and I do not think it is the people doing the work. It is the leadership at the top, and there is little to no care about individual residents beyond once they move in and get the money.

At a time when caring for loved ones become top priority, American House Riverview is the best downriver. Staff is excellent responding to the helps and needs of residents. They have their choice in regards to participating in activities. Something always going on. Bus trips, games, movies, outside activities when able, conversation. You make friends here. Highly recommend. Another point with negative reviews. As people age, they don't always want that these services. They want to be home, their home their life style back. Tough time for all involved. Caregivers have to make good but heartbreaking decisions. Food and services here are top notch. The food staff are always available with weekly meetings to discuss any problems and looking for suggestions on the menu. I highly recommend American House Riverview. Take a tour, meet the staff, spend quality time and ask questions.
