American House Freedom Place Memory Care of Rochester Hills is a clean, calming, and safe environment where residents receive excellent care. The staff is friendly, happy, and attentive, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend!

I recently had the opportunity to tour American House Freedom Place in Rochester with Jamie Smith, the Community Relations Director, and I wanted to share my thoughts. If you’re considering a memory care facility, this place is truly impressive. They offer both private and semi-private rooms, as well as lovely dining areas where staff serve home-cooked, hot meals. Residents also have access to comfortable living rooms for relaxation, complete with TVs and puzzles. The community provides engaging activities like bingo and connect 4. The courtyards are beautiful, featuring vibrant plants and flowers, along with tables and chairs for enjoying the outdoors. I was particularly impressed by some thoughtful details. Each room has a shadow box displaying the residents picture, and near the dining room, there’s a wall showcasing resident photos along with short biographies. They also have interactive workstations such as washing machine and dryer, a work desk, and a tool bench. Security is excellent, with staff controlling entry and exit. Overall, the building felt bright, comfortable, and truly homelike. Jamie is a wonderful person to work with; she is clearly passionate about her role and dedicated to providing the best possible care.

American House Freedom Place is a community you’ll want to see if you’re looking for Memory Care! The team is welcoming and smiling, the residents always look happy and engaged. Perfect location for east side meets west side families… a great in between, with easy access. Jamie S is incredibly knowledgeable and brings experience and expertise to each family…not to mention her HUGE heart!

My family recently toured this facility and we were very impressed with the overall environment — the rooms are spacious and thoughtfully designed, and the amenities are excellent. We had the pleasure of working with Jamie Smith, who was absolutely phenomenal. Despite our very short notice, she went above and beyond to accommodate us. Her compassion, professionalism, and genuine care for families navigating this process is evident. Everyone we’ve met at the facility so far has been kind, knowledgeable, and attentive.

Sarah is a wonderful activities manager at American House where my Mom Dorothy in room 39 has been staying for over a year now. She is very cheerful and caring to all the family at American House.
