Brookdale Summer Ridge

My dad started living at Brookdale four years ago. He is very happy and loves all of the residents and employees. Everyone is kind and take very good care of him. It helps my sister and I to sleep better at night knowing that he is taken care of. Thank you, Brookdale!

My mom chose Brookdale Summer Ridge over other assisted living facilities in Rockwall, TX, and it quickly became clear why. The staff is genuinely kind and caring—they go above and beyond to make residents feel safe and supported. The community itself is warm and welcoming, with friendly residents who truly seem to enjoy life there. While it may not be the newest facility in town, we’ve come to realize that happiness doesn’t come from the building itself, but from the people inside. Brookdale Summer Ridge has heart, and that’s what matters most.

Since the time mom arrived she has enjoyed and loved the people she has come in contact with. She loves the staff. I have been impressed with the smiles and greetings plus the attentiveness to request in a timely fashion.

We could not be more pleased with Brookdale Summer Ridge! We moved my dad here from another assisted living nearby and the difference was noticeable the first time we walked in the door and not because it is a new, updated, fancy place. The one we left was definitely more of those things. Brookdale is warm, friendly and like home. From the director down, the staff is amazing and very accessible. My dad is 94 years old and has become more active and happy at Brookdale. There are quite a few men living here which is such a positive for him. It did not take him very long to adapt to the move as we feared. I just can’t say enough about how happy we are that we moved my dad to Brookdale Summer Ridge.

Can't sing enough praise for the group here. Our family had a great experience at Brookdale with our cousin who came into our care and I have still continued to refer many in the community to this location because of the folks here. Emily, the executive director, is about the kindest and most patient woman I've ever met who really has a heart for her residents, their families, and the team (Emily is the literal embodiment of sugar!). Kimberly, the facility nurse knows the residents through and through and is a great partner to help navigate healthcare decisions. She is hard-working and always puts her residents needs above all else. Not sure how she juggles all that she does, but she doesn't skip a beat--she makes it look easy. She is the ultimate protector of those she cares about and such an advocate for her residents (they all are!). Andrea is almost always the first face I see and THAT is the kind of first impression that makes a difference. She's eager to help, offer solutions, and is a friend to all. I've seen her jump into action across all avenues to provide a higher level of the customer experience (which I can appreciate coming from my old retail days). Kathy Q! Her ability to provide totally outside-the box activities for residents...I am constantly impressed with her outward thinking and cheerful spirit. She truly shines and connects with others when she is at "work." This entire team is "all hands on deck" and they are what makes this Brookdale a HOME.
