Assisted Living Center - Salisbury

My mom has been here for the past five years. The staff is amazing. It feels like family, and there is often the joy of a dog or children visiting, which makes if feel like a home and not an institution. It is not for memory care (that is a whole other ballgame - my dad is in one of those). They have activities and spaces to meet and socialize, and event for family to join in. I highly recommend ALS for family member that are still able to take care of their own daily needs (dressing, etc).

Truly disappointing. When we first put our good friend into this facility we had great impressions from the team. Once our friend's memory deteriorated, they were not open to helping out any further and told us to transfer to memory care asap. We did this as quick as we could and we let them coordinated the move out date. Sadly they coordinated it two days after the start of the month and took the full fee of one month's rent from our friend's security deposit, the only money he has left to his name. They took thousands from an old man that is slowly dying a painful death and I feel this act was truly despicable. When we asked why they did this they side it was 'in the contract'. There is no doubt they could have transferred him at the end of the month or two days prior to save this dying man thousands of dollars for his transfer and care going forward. Instead they took the money for themselves and said it was just how things were done and that we signed the contract so it was their right. I hope no one else has to deal with this kind of apathetic attitude from this very money motivated company.

The entire team genuinely cares. They went above and beyond to provide our mother with kindness. The admission process and communication is above and beyond. We are very grateful.

What a gem of a place, the best hidden secret for assisted living! Amazing staff and it feels just like home.
