Who We Serve: Assisted Living Facilities serve older adults and people with disabilities who need help with daily activities but do not require the 24-hour skilled nursing care provided in nursing homes.

In Texas, facilities like The Springs are typically regulated by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission. This type of facility generally operates under a Assisted Living Facility License (Type A or Type B).

Payment Options: In Texas, Medicaid may help pay for assisted living through the STAR+PLUS. Eligibility is based on both financial and functional criteria. Contact Texas Health and Human Services or visit https://www.hhs.texas.gov/services/health/medicaid-chip/programs-services/long-term-care to learn about eligibility requirements and how to apply. Wait lists are common for waiver programs, so applying early is recommended.

Families researching assisted living options should verify the facility's current license status, review any inspection reports, and schedule a visit to assess whether the environment and services meet their loved one's needs. You can verify this facility's license and view inspection reports at Texas's facility search. For more information about assisted living regulations in Texas, visit Texas Health and Human Services Commission.

It has taken me some time to write this, but I truly cannot say enough positive things about The Springs! My grandfather was here for a little over a year before he passed. Although it was a difficult time for our family, the staff always made us feel a little more like home. Honestly, it is hard to even consider them “staff” because they became more like friends/family to our family! The facility itself is absolutely wonderful. They go above and beyond to ensure that your loved ones are in a safe environment that is very much centered around those with memory care needs. However, it was the staff that truly made the biggest difference. My mom would jokingly (or possibly not so jokingly) say that she would still have chosen The Springs based on the staff, even if it was just “tents set up in the parking lot.” The staff, our new friends, made all the difference in the world! It is apparent from the time you walk into the door that the individuals who work here truly have a passion for what they do, and a big heart for not only those they care for, but for their families too. My family and I will forever be grateful for their love and support.

I would have no hesitation recommending The Springs. The caregivers and staff are very loving and supportive of both the family and their loved one. Having had four years to experience their care for my husband, I can say it was the best. The atmosphere is homelike, the rooms nicely appointed, the food excellent, and they endeavor to make the journey meaningful.

Words could never express the blessings we have received with mom as a resident of this amazing memory care center! The caring and compassionate staff, healthy meal plans, daily activities and the warm and inviting atmosphere provide the entire family with a peace of mind that far exceeded anything we had imagined. The Springs Memory Care Center is in one word....Home!

The second best decision I made in my life was bringing Hank to The Springs. The first being saying “yes” to him 50 years ago. Each resident is treated with compass, love, patience and most of all dignity. Even in difficult situations are resolved as quickly as they arise. I recommend the facility to everyone I meet for the best place for memory care.

They operate this facility under staffed, they have workers in training lifting individuals that require 2 persons. Worker are getting hurt and resident don't receive the prompt attention they deserve. This company does not care about its employees.
