The Pointe at Teaneck

My parents have lived at 5 Star for over 3 years under their assisted living care. All the 5 Star staff have been very kind, professional and caring over the years. Most importantly, the medical attention and care they received was outstanding. They had different medical challenges at various points in time but knowing that we had a team working with us who had expertise and truly cared about my parents made a huge difference. The other area we love about 5 Star is the activities. They are amazingly varied, covering both physical and mental stimulation. Overall, 5 Star has been a great experience for them.

As a professional in the geriatric healthcare field, I have had the opportunity to observe many assisted living facilities, and I am truly impressed by the exceptional environment of Five star senior living. The leadership provided by Nursing Director Jean and Head Nurse Saira is exemplary. Their dedication to the well-being of the seniors is evident in every aspect of the facility's operations.Their compassionate approach sets a high standard for quality care and ensures a nurturing environment for all residents. The variety of activities available for seniors is commendable, promoting engagement, socialization, and overall well-being. These activities are thoughtfully designed to cater to the diverse interests and abilities of the residents, contributing to a vibrant and fulfilling community life.In particular, I would like to highlight the exceptional communication skills of Nurse, Saira. Her ability to effectively communicate with both patients and their families fosters a sense of trust and reassurance. Additionally, the Nursing Director's efforts to accommodate the residents' needs as much as possible are truly noteworthy. This commitment to personalized care creates such a positive and supportive environment for seniors.

My grandmother lived here for a number of years, and not only is the facility elegant and comfortable, clean and well-maintained, the staff are what make it stand out. They really invest time getting to know the residents and engaging them. Even when my grandmother moved out to a nursing home to receive more round-the-clock care, a member of the 5-Star staff came to visit her. And when she passed away recently, I received such warm condolences from the Activities Director, who knew her, but also from the new Executive Director.

My Dad has called Five Star in Teaneck home for a bit more than 2 years. He made new friends very quickly, aided by the Staff's efforts to engage and connect the residents. He particularly enjoys that there is an active Men's Club, as well as the group excursions, poker and some of the craft classes. Pure peace of mind for my siblings and me to see him happy, and in such a nice, caring community.

Five Star Residence (assisted living) has proven to be an ideal environment for my mom. My mom was living in Florida independently before she had obstructive bowel surgery which caused her to be severely compromised both physically and mentally. After 3 weeks in the hospital and 14 weeks in rehab in Florida she became strong enough to move north near me. During this ordeal the staff at Five Star Residences at Teaneck were both compassionate and generous with their time. They held my hand throughout the entire process of bringing mom north. The aides and nurses continue to show their compassion and take good care of her so I worry less knowing she is in an excellent place..
