Very Thankful for the care of my Father after his fall. Also, My mother in law has resided the past four years due to dementia. The staff is so nice and patient. I believe it speaks volume when you see the same workers this whole time. The food is very good. They have physical and music therapy. The owners Are actively on the premises. Recently outdoor festivities for grandparents day/Octoberfest-families are welcome-treats, musical band & a petting zoo. A self pay facility is so worth having the peace of mind care for our family memento . Highly recommend them.
19 Months We live in a house in the independent living section of Mari de Villa. My wife recently had surgery, so we hired healthcare aids for a few weeks. One of them mentioned that she once had worked for Mari de Villa advanced care. I asked her what it was like to work for them. She said her coworkers, and working conditions were the best. She said they took excellent care of the residents. I asked her why she didn’t stay in that job? She said her childcare responsibilities made it impossible for her to keep regular hours. She said she would happily go back to working at Mari de Villa if and when she could. My wife and I were happy to hear this story about where we might end up someday. 17 Months The owners are actively involved in an ongoing effort to upgrade the experience of living here. We're sticking to our five-star rating. 10 Months Later Fairly rating any place has to do with how they manage realities. Mari De Villa's crew did a great job cleaning up after the snowstorm. 6 Months Later Mari de Villa is unique in many ways. Mary and I are used to suburban living. The sense of privacy and space here resembles our life before we moved. Calm and quiet are two words I use to describe our lovely campus. It’s comforting to know two stages of further care are at our doorstep if and when we need them. The staff is unobtrusive, yet Johnny-on-the-spot when needed. So far so good. Moving to Missouri from North Carolina, we moved in to Mari De Villa, two months ago. I can only review their handling of our moving in and setting up shop. First class for sure. They have an active embedded ownership and an employee culture that cares about getting it right for us. Bravo to Mari!
Well, this place seems very nice on the surface. They refuse to let residents have their own phone line or leave the premises at their own accord. they refuse to even let the residents retrieve their own clothing or personal items so that they could be more comfortable while they’re at the facility. Yes, things seem great as you walk in the door, but things are not so great for somebody who has spent their entire life working very very hard to make sure that they’re taken care of at the end because care doesn’t come in the form of a 10 x 10 room shaped like a jail cell. Or in the form of someone being held as an outright prisoner. Furthermore if ANY place has “perfect” reviews then something is WRONG!!!! #FreeMyFamily #ThisIsNotWhereIWannaEndUp
My mother just passed away this past week and she was a resident at Mari de Villa Nursing home. I would just like to say that the staff there were always caring and nice. They all smiled and knew the residents by name, but by Mr. or Mrs. They treated them with respect and she was always clean, her bandages (from her accident at home) were new every day and clean. Although she didn't want to eat, they continually knew what she was eating and monitored everything. The administration seemed to work around the clock. The manager, Zhen, seemed to almost live there, taking care of things. The food was excellent and my mom never complained about it. She enjoyed getting whatever she wanted when she wanted it. Even though she passed away (from a hip fracture), she was as comfortable as she could be. I really appreciated them and the care they gave mom. Not to mention, my father in law passed away last summer there as well. He said he felt like he was at a great hotel. He only lasted two weeks after his heart gave out (age 92), but he was very comfortable, clean, well fed, and got along great with the staff. Hopefully this helps some people who are looking for a safe and comfortable place for their loved one at the end of life. I doubt you will find any place as nice as Mari de Villa.
My mother was at Mari de Villa for a 2 week rehab stay. I cannot say enough about the wonderful care, kindness and compassion shown to her and our family. All employees were willing to go above and beyond to meet all of Mom's needs. The facility was extremely clean and comfortable. Would not hesitate to recommend Mari de Villa to anyone needing Skilled Care, Assisted Living or Independent living.
