Sunrise Assisted Living of Troy

Sunrise of Troy is very nice and cozy. It is perfect for people who need assisted living or memory care but not a BIG building. The staff is very kind. I want to especially thank Parnell for coming in on a Sunday to tour a family. Parnell is the consummate professional. He is kind, thorough, and knowledgeable. As a professional, I admire their care model and have placed many clients at Sunrise throughout the Detroit area.

The experience delivered and received at Sunrise of Troy is unmatchable. Sunrise of Troy operates on a distinctive level far beyond mediocrity. This is evident by the unique culture of the incredible team that works diligently to serve others with incomparable compassion while preserving dignity and enhancing quality of life. Look no further; this is home.

My mom has lived at two prior facilities, and Sunrise Troy seems to be the best we have seen. I really appreciate that their main entry is locked to monitor who is entering and exiting. A staff member can buzz you in or out. This makes me feel at ease that my mom is safe. They have people sign in electronically to record who is visiting your loved one. The RN Jessica who did the initial assessment did a great job, using the more fine-tuned interview techniques I’ve seen the neurologist use to assess cognitive functioning. I could tell she was well trained and cared about doing the assessment according to the protocol. I appreciate that Sunrise posts staff pictures on the wall with staff name, position, and sometimes how long they’ve worked there. This is a great way to recognize staff, demonstrate transparency to family, and remind residents of staff names. Sunrise has dedicated care managers for the residents. Most places don’t take the care to do this, so we never knew the names of the staff assisting our mom. At other facilities, staff would often rotate, get replaced often, or not wear a visible name tag, all of which left us feeling lost and helpless about who was caring for our mom. Sunrise Troy has many employees who have been working there for years, which says a lot about how they treat the staff. I look forward to my mom moving in and sharing more good experiences.

I don’t think you could find a better Assisted Living Facility! The facility is beautiful, bright, warm and welcoming. Much of the staff have been there for a long time, and they are kind and attentive to my mother’s needs. I’m confident my mother is well-cared for. She has also enjoyed meeting new friends and participating in the social activities. I would highly recommend Sunrise of Troy!

First off, let us just say that our experience was top notch! The staff was attentive and knew how emotional this visit was. I can't thank them enough for the tender care that they welcomed us and our aging parents with. Parnell, who is a saint, welcomed us with open arms and made our visit memorable. We can honestly say, that we would have struggled so much without him, especially with all the issues that arise when it's time to place your aging parents in an assisted living center. I think he works 24/7. He was on top of everything and made this feel seamless. I cannot praise him enough, He is a very caring person and makes sure to put our family's needs first. He was, and still is, answering every question and always treating us with respect and compassion. He deserves so much more than a 5 star review!! THANK YOU PARNELL, FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS!!! Our parents are thriving in this place they now call home. The support of all the staff; from the maintenance crew, the care team, the nursing staff, dining room people and the welcoming women at the front desk have made such an emotional journey so much easier. We will never be able to express our gratitude to all of you.
