Brookdale Vancouver Stonebridge

The staff at Brookdale Stonebridge continue to be amazing 3 years into my mom’s residency with them. Their thoughtfulness is present from the very first engagement and has not diminished over time. It is common to get a call from staff asking how I am and if I feel there is anything additional they can do for my mom. I appreciate how they care for her, and I can honesty say that they take away a lot of the worry I have about her situation. They love my mom and treat her with the care and dignity she deserves.

Vancouver Stonebridge has my mom's best interest at all times. I visit mostly in the evening and the care team is exceptional, not only with my mom but I see them interact with other residents as well, always caring and soft spoken. Friends of my mom visit during the day and always tell me that staff stop to see if they or my mom need anything. The facility is clean, staff are pleasant and informed and I am happy mom has a safe place to be during this most difficult time. It takes special people to do the work that they do. Thank you.

My very resistant dad has adjusted to Brookdale Vancouver Stonebridge amazingly. The Executive Director and the Director were extremely helpful with our very difficult decision to move him there. Pricing is very reasonable comparatively, and their spend down is 1 year as opposed to almost 100% of the other facilities in the area at 3 years. They have kept us informed about how dad is doing and are always positive. Dad seems happy, participates in activities and says he likes the food. The staff say he is a joy to have around!

I want to add a positive review to balance out the others. My mom has been here since January 2018. She lives on the more active side of the complex as she is mobile. She is not an easy person to deal with and I think that the staff is marvelous. They are always smiling and cheerful, and they are well trained to handle the many and varied needs of people with dementia. Many of them have been there for several years (10 or more) and I think that says a lot about the management. I visit weekly so I see what does on in the facility and with the residents. It is clean and homey inside and doesn't smell. The food looks delicious and the staff helps and encourages those who need it. It is not a luxurious, high-end place, but it is also more affordable. There is an enclosed center courtyard for good weather and activities for the residents to keep them engaged. They have organized a Mother's Day lunch for families which I really appreciate as I cannot safely take mom out and this gives us a nice celebration time. I gave it five stars to balance the negatives. I appreciate the fine staff who work very hard under difficult, challenging and stressful conditions.

I can say that moving my dad in here was one of the best decisions I've made.. I was very nervous about putting my dad in a home, I made an appointment and was told a ton of good information and was shown around the place.. The rooms come with there own bathroom, that was important to my dad. My dad's not a very social guy and normally keeps to himself. At first it took him a little while to get use to his new surroundings, now he's happier than I've seen in a long time. He's made a few friends and tells me how nice the staff is. It makes my heart glow when I come in and he's smiling.
