When it was time to find care for my father, I toured many facilities in northern NJ. Besides determining a place which would best care for his dementia, wanted a facility which offered a reasonable amount of outdoor space which was comfortable and inviting. As basic as these requirements are, it was difficult to find a place with such space. The reason is that for the majority of places, dementia care is a secondary offering: with this, those needing such care were confined to certain indoor areas and the fenced outdoor spaces (if any) were small and limited. I then visited Arden Courts and it was clearly evident this was the right place. This facility was designed specifically for dementia patients, offering the residents a tremendous amount of space both indoors and outdoors to be active in. It is clean, pleasant and well run. The caregivers are engaged, attentive, warm, welcoming and put forth great effort caring for the residents - managing various activities and the like. Am confident in the staff and the care they provide. Highly recommended.

Arden Courts in Wayne was the answer to our prayers. Mom had Lewy Bodies Dementia and was becoming difficult to care for properly. The open, calm and loving nature of the people and the facility was perfect for her. We could tell she was relieved to be in an atmosphere that allowed her to move freely and be her very best self in the stage she was experiencing. Her final passing was quiet, spiritual, loving and painless. We are forever thankful for the Arden Courts family who cared for Mom - and for us - during this delicate time of our lives. We cannot thank them enough.

Stepping into ARDEN COURT in Wayne, New Jersey, after seeing a multitude of nursing care, facilities, was a transforming experience. Never did I experience such a well-thought-out environment for dementia care. It was inviting and meticulously clean. The activities were inventive and engaging for all the residents. The whole environment was bright and cheery, a function of the endless windows which allow a steady flow of light inside. The doors open up into a courtyard, which can, weather permitting, allow the residence to walk about, sit on benches and see a wide variety of beautiful flowers and trees. The courtyard gives a sense of freedom yet is safe, enclosed and supervised. The jewel of ARDEN COURT however is it’s staff. Staff who adapted their care to my mom’s changing needs for the five years of her living there. Observing the ARDEN staff for these past five years, I can truly say there are angels among us. The facility itself is clean, well-maintained, and designed with memory care in mind. The layout promotes independence while also ensuring safety, which provides peace of mind for families. Communication with families is also a priority, and the team does an excellent job of keeping loved ones informed and involved in their family member’s care. If you are looking for a place where your loved one will be truly cared for, respected, and supported, Arden Courts of Wayne is an excellent choice.
