Avita of Stroudwater is one of the most thoughtfully designed memory care communities in Southern Maine. The environment is calm, dignified, and intentionally built for those living with memory loss. In my work across the field, Avita continues to stand out for its structure, staffing, and approach. It represents the higher end of what’s available in memory care—and it shows.

I have the pleasure of visiting Avita Stroudwater several times a year and am consistently impressed by the kindness and professionalism of the staff. This community is a gem! The atmosphere is clean and tidy and VERY welcoming! The residents are always doing something creative together and are happy being there. I look forward every visit to seeing them and LOVE to see they are so well taken care of. Definitely a community I would want my own parents to receive the care they need! Thank you to the entire Stroudwater team for outstanding effort and involvement in the resident's care and life enrichment!!!

My Mother has been happily attending the day program for the last year and half. It has been a wonderful experience with the absolute best staff, they are so kind, patient, empathetic but mostly they are so loving to my mom, she is so very comfortable there and looks forward to going. She loves the activities, the food and all the fun projects they work on together. Her nails have never looked better! They do up her nails weekly, she loves it! I cannot say enough wonderful things about Avita of stroudwaters Day program. Your loved ones will love it!

Avita of Stroudwater is an outstanding facility with amazing staff members to support you and your loved one. The idea of our mom living in a home rather than with us was unthinkable. When her dementia advanced and she was no longer safe in our home, we turned to Avita and they welcomed our mom and us into their family with open arms. Our mom is up and part of daily activities and routines designed to make each day special and wonderful for her. The food is amazing and she looks forward to fresh home cooked meals. The neighborhood is inviting and engaging and she enjoys coffee and socializing with her neighbors and having her own apartment as well. The staff treats her with love and respect and that extends to her family as well. The Avita family has made a difficult decision for our mom, easier every day. We are so grateful for the team members there and the love and support they have shown her and us.

My mother has been at Avita of Stroudwater for three years now. The facility is beautiful and the staff members are caring and kind. The residents are kept busy throughout the day with various activities available to them. If you need memory care for a loved one, I would highly recommend Avita!
