As a private duty caregiver with Hospice patients through Amedisys, I can not say Enough good things. The nurses are so caring and thoughtful. They listen to the patients needs as well as the families concerns. They explain things throughly and with compassion. The social workers are amazing. They really look out for the families over all well being and have awesome ideas as well as resources for equipment and other helpful amenities. I trust any and all of the staff I have met with the care of my parents. Thank you for your amazing job!
As a caregiver for my husband this Hospice Care has been a blessing to me and my family. Our nurse, our Aid and our Social Worker are the best. They are all about the Care of the patient and are so good at their jobs. I'm so thankful for Amedisys . I couldn't do this journey without their help, support and love. Thank you Danielle Partridge, Anne Shepperd and Leigh Harbin. Y'all are truly angels.
Amedisys Hospice has been my home as a hospice nurse for 12 years. We have taken care of so many families over the years. When it was my family’s turn to choose hospice for my grandmother, I knew that Amedisys would take excellent care of her. Nickie, Daphne, Damon, Tasha and Lauren were professional, compassionate and helped my family through such a difficult time. I will forever be grateful for the love and support they gave to us.
I would like to thank Amedisys for the excellent care that was provided for my loved one. I will never forget the difference you made in my family's life during our time of need. Your expertise made us comfortable in a time of fear. Not only did you care for our loved one, but you cared for me and my family as well. Thank you for the amazing work you do each and every day, and for your commitment to my family.
Horrible place for hospice care. My mother was on it from April-December 2019. I regret keeping them for that long. I realized after I switched, what hospice is for. The nurses are always in a hurry and do not listen to needs. They do not keep up with refills on meds and you will not see a doctor in person. I was told on 3 different occasions during 9 months that if she was having a problem we could TAKE her to a doctor. I called on Christmas Eve because my mother's legs swelled, turned red, and were painful. These are symptoms of a blood clot. I called and the nurse Beth told me it was Christmas and they would not come and I could take her to the hospital. When you are on hospice, you can't just take them to the doctor. After I released them, they refused to do a final check on my mom and sign the release papers. Edit on 8/12/21 They are responding to my review now wanting me to call them. I did call them in January 2020 and they did not call me back when I complained to the person that answered the phone. Little too late. Edit again on 8/12/21 Now they are calling me!
