I’m the over the person that need the care . But the person that was send out had no communication with the actual client. The employee that was send out just sit on my sofa and eat and watch tv. And don’t forget the phone! Leave early. No communication with the person that need the care. I was still having to do everything. Bath , feeding and diaper change. Why do I need the employee for ? Just to hold my sofa up!! I gave her plenty of time to do better. I don’t need someone to invaded my home and sit on my sofa and watch my tv!! She knew I was about to get rid of her the next day so she had a no show. She knew! I had enough of her. They tried to be your friend. I don’t need a friend. The client need home care services!! No one want to work. Want to sit and draw a paycheck!! This place need to called the client or the person over the client to Check in to see how their employee doing. Not one phone call! Need to check these employees background check and work history . Make sure it not a fake one where they say I did work for a cousin and a family member give them a reference. They do that so much . I had a cousin ask me to give them one and w have never use her. I said no . This is my review.

Agency hires young people who according to the employees make $8.00 an hour to start. Of course when they get experience they leave for a better paying job. The people we had here had limited or no experience in working with my wife's condition. One had to consult the manual to see what services she could provide. . Complaints about employees using a cell phone while on duty caring for my wife may or may not addressed by the agency. Of course when I complained to the agency about why I would not allow certain employees to come back it was my fault. I was hard to get along with. It was all my fault. Yea sure. Wrong. I expect a cell phone to be off at all times when here taking care of my wife. Need to contact the employee then call the office explain the situation and they could call me here if THEY deem the call to be important for the care giver. We had two great employees who really cared but they left for better paying jobs. A nurse who supervised these employees was injured in a car accident. That is when I believe the agency started to slip. They need to have un announced visits by supervisors to check on them to see if they are doing the job correctly. I won't say more only that if you use this agency make it clear what the home attendant is supposed to do while on duty. What services are to be performed and failure to do so is grounds for immediate termination when taking care of someone like my wife. Problem as stated above what do you expect for $8.00 an hour and people with little or no experience and no supervisor to check on them.

Do not use them because do not want to work, when you make them work they start calling out and Cyndi the manager is always lying. She always comes up with an excuse, but never comes out and help when they are short staffed. They hire in and everybody and do not train the employees to do their job. I only have one start because I had to in order to pay this review. I have reached out to corporate twice and have not heard from them.

Addus does not have the staffing. They don't return phone calls or even answer the phone 85% of the time. They do not call customers when aid will be a no show.( jackson tennessee office) and they will throw their employees under the bus when they have no expectations of their bad business decisions. My wife has been customer for over a year and only has had an aid maybe 10% of the time. Not recommended.

The caregivers were so attentive to my in-laws needs. They answered all my wife's questions and were always willing to help with our family members needs. Loved working with them, would highly recommend them again.
