Starlight Caregivers

Starlight was brought to our attention as an agency to hire aides for seniors. We had low expectations and were wary of having someone care for our father and be a part of our household. Low and behold, CK arrived-aide extraordinaire! We had been told we were being sent a great aide that just happened to have finished up a long term aiding job and our timing was right. We thought they said this about everyone. CK is a short man in his 70's-and he was a powerhouse of strength body, mind and spirit. He knew exactly what to do to aide in my father's needs, he did so with empathy, and professionalism and true care. He gave my father the respect and dignity he deserved. CK worked mostly overnights and did so with no complaint, no tiredness, and complete and utter loyalty til the end. He was so trustworthy and consistent we were able to get sleep at night knowing our father was in the best of the best of hands. It was a miracle to have someone like CK and we know we were blessed. Thank you Starlight for being a great agency, for being choosy about who you hire and being so easy and compassionate to work with. We will never forget CK or Starlight.

What peace of mind knowing that we could rely on them to augment our regular caretaking schedule without having to hunt during a crisis for additional caretakers. Starlight CareGivers has given excellent care to my two elderly parents as they've aged and become more dependent. They started off with Starlight part time several times a week, and we now rely on them for 24/7 care. As my parents' needs have progressed they've gone out of their way to find the best fit, resulting in caregivers my parents are happy and comfortable with. They have reliably provided my parents with light housekeeping, personal hygiene care, meal preparation and feeding, and are always on top of my dad's incontinence issues. When my mom fell recently in the middle of the night, Starlight was able to find a caregiver for my dad so that the primary caregiver could take my mom to the hospital. Finally, Starlight also coordinates mobile home podiatry and hair cutting visits for my parents. I highly recommend Starlight CareGivers and am confident my parents are in good hands.

There are not enough Google stars for this company!  Although he needed help, my dad was very reluctant to allow caregivers into his home.  The people in charge at Starlight, Duanni, Angel, and Alex, took the time to get to know him and to select the perfect caregivers for his needs.  They made personal visits to the house on multiple occasions, welcomed his input, checked in with me by telephone and email several times a week, and sought feedback from both family and caregivers on a regular basis, making adjustments here and there (and sometimes house calls) to make sure my dad was completely safe and comfortable.  They did not settle for less, were exceptionally sensitive to my dad's feelings, and never seemed put out by our idiosyncratic requests, day or night, week day or weekend.  Within a month or two, Dad told me that he considered the Starlight folks to be, not only his caregivers, but his friends.  I can't imagine a better outcome.  Starlight allowed my dad to stay in his home of 56 years where he was happy and relatively independent.  In fact, his caregivers, especially Margie, Tessie, Eva, and Olga, enriched his final months, for which I am very grateful.  Truly, Starlight is as good as can be at providing top-notch professional in-home care!
